20th sounds good to me. My girlfriend would probably like to check out the art fair. I think that's a bit less traffic than beerfest too.

Anyone else have a preference between one date or another? 13th, 20th, of 27th

Hmmmm...I'm tempted to pick something after the 27th then as that's the weekend of the summer beer festival. The area will be packed with cars and people. I love beer, but hate gigantic crowds.

Sooooooo....

Assuming we can get acceptance / approval from GrpB to invade his gallery.

Saturday morning meet at Motorsport Studio to check out the artwork and chat for awhile. Afterward we walk down the street to Red Rock for lunch. Maybe 10:00am start with lunch around noon.

I don't know what Saturday morning works for people.

Yes, we are still alive! Steph graduated a few months back and is moving onto the next educational experience.

I vote for next week meet (20th). Already had some stuff planned for tomorrow. The week after might be OK too.

Next Saturday is Dog Party at Tiger Stadium (monthly dog owners meet up benefiting the soon to be open Detroit Dog Park in Corktown) so I won't be able to go.

I want to check out this gallery as well.

Not sure what everyone else cares to do, but I wouldn't mind getting out of the house and coming down to see you two, grab a bite to eat, and check out the gallery.

We can still plan an "official" meet in a couple weeks so everyone can check things out and we old folks can meet all the n00bs.

I got my tune from Tony Simmons. He works just west of Royal Oak. Currently he can only do road tuning but they are still great tunes. He has been tuning subies for a little over ten years. His email is tony@garage99.com. He also has a facebook group called Garage99. Send him a massage.

Tune as in ECU mapping or tune up as in new spark plugs and stuff?

Something I have been wanting to do is get a projector and screen to show (for free, BYOB) tape-delayed or un-broadcasted races on some regular basis (F1, MotoGP, V8 Supercars, WRC, etc). I personally don't have cable so my in-laws record races on DVR and I watch them later. But it's tough to stay ignorant of race outcomes nowadays so doing a regular replay of the races would be a nice thing for me, and maybe others as well.

You can get a season pass from the V8 Supercars site and stream it live or watch the races and qualifying whenever it is convenient for you. Thats what I do. There are also some streams for F1 out there on the interwebs too!

Holy crap!!! You're alive and kicking too

Hooray NASIOC Detroit thread. Lots of old-timers coming out of the woodwork. I keep seeing notifications for the useless little chat thing that Leo is online from time to time too.

This is sad. I don't see any of you often enough in real life that I'm actually excited to see you all popping up online again .

I need to host an OG BBQ. I also need to come up with a name for the house. Mykrrrrr has the SKUNKW3RKS. Vlad has the Bomb Shelter. I have cool house name envy.

Hey guys, It's been a long time since I've been around (had an STi in 03 or so) and am now looking at a used WRX thats on the lot in ferndale. Would it happen to be anyone you know of's old car? The reason i ask is that it looks like its been tuned. Its an 11, blue with tinted windows. Black rims.. Cobb sticker on the hatch on the top right. From the pics, it looks like it has a cob shift knob and boost gauge on the dash.. so I know its been modded and would love to know the history.

Anyway, hope to be back soon.
