I can solder you a pair of wires with terminal ends on them as a temp solution. All that is is a pair of jumper wires in a nice connector.

It's possible and it certainly wouldn't hurt to check but it seemed to be running okay when we logged it. The scaling on her tune is from the Tuning Alliance map she purchased. I took it a step further and scaled the MAF in closed loop with romraider and updated the scaling to get it closer.

However with the leak or whatever is going on with it anything is possible, but it seemed okay to me when we drove it. Also the ecu a/f learning should be capable of dealing with any remaining small-moderate inconsistencies in the MAF scaling.

Yeah I told Franz to just use a piece of wire or a paper clip or something to jump it but he didn't feel comfortable with that. I also posted links of where he or Sai could purchase the appropriate connectors for $9 + shipping from Tactrix. I'll post them again in case anyone is interested.

i may even have that pigtail off a junk harness and can make a "real" connector. it appears to be a bosch connector. how many terminals total? looks like 6 with 2 unused in the middle.

the 01-02 connector is the same as the typical bosch washer pump/basic 2 wire bulb connector. i have piles of those.

I have my white connector inside my AP box that can be borrowed Franzie -- I just want it back later..

as far as my car is almost seems like just cruisin along I am always at 0 on the boost gauge.. I do think I am in boost more than before..

I filled the tank on my way home from work on Wednesday and the car has sat since.. Right now I'm rockin the Libby and probably will until next week. I will keep monitoring it but right now I am hoping that I just lost alot of fuel during the flashes that run the walbro during its learning process.. I think we did that 3 times and I've never flashed with that pump before, just the stockie.. same with injectors.

BTW -- man, house hunting is stressful... I think we've looked at 12 houses so far and have a few more left this weekend.

Anyone live out in the McFarland Sigglekow area or the Madison Buckeye Road area on here?

I pulled the motor apart last night and this is what I found in the #2 hole. Now I know where the engine stumble and the smoke was coming from.

Oh well!

Yeah that used to be a stock piston. Thanks for the offer but I already have it all taken care of.

I was trying to figure out what carbon fiber you were refering to until I looked at he pic again. Its a foam rubber drawer liner in my tool cart.

If anyone has their white connector for 03-05 WRX (AccessPort comes with it), please let me know

Do you mean 02-05 ? If you do, I have mine still sitting in the box.

HA! I thought it was...and now that I know what it actually is, it looks nothing like CF, and I feel like an idiot.

We actually use the matting for a mask when painting fake CF on R/C bodies...

My guess is it's a combination of your driving inputs and whatever the leak or issue is that was preventing your car from hitting full boost. As you can see from the boost target table below you should not be hitting boost (or even 0 psi really) unless you are really getting in to the throttle.

From my experience you should be getting -5 to -8 psi of vacuum while cruising on a level surface. Small inclines that are typical on WI highways should put you up to -2 to -5 with a steep incline possibly pushing to 0 for 2-3 seconds max and then returning to -5 or less.

In the examples I've given you would be at 14.5 to 15.0 AFR the entire time except when climbing the hill for a few seconds where you may be hitting low to mid 13's. There is literally no way you should be getting 14 mpg under ANY circumstances unless you were literally flooring it for the whole (which I don't think you were, I'm just using it as an example) or unless something is wrong with your car. Either way it has nothing to do with the tune.

Most likely going to be emissions. Either evap leak (fuel cap) or EGT sensor out of spec (cat-less up-pipes typically don't retain the EGT probe and even when they do it often still throws a code) or rear o2 sensor. Get the code pulled at AutoZone or Advance and LMK. I'll send you a new map with the code disabled.

Ugh... that's harsh. That must have been some nice knock to do all that damage.

I can get you a crazy deal on some forged CP pistons if you're interested. LMK

I think it may have been when I went to have it tuned at another shop and they gave me a temp E-tune to get me by for a week and get me to their shop a long time ago and then it ended up on the dyno a couple of different times at different shops and being tuned but always with some unknown issues. But now it all kinda comes together and makes some sense. The 2.5L STI pistons have a naturally weak ring land. I have seen this time and time again online and even a couple times through the shop and the wierd part is that there is no real sign of detonation on the face of the piston.

What were the symptoms? Was it consuming oil/smoking? Did you ever do a compression test? Just curious what to watch out for...

It wasn't consuming too much oil but I could see it puffing out the oil cap a little bit while running. In the begining it just had a mild stumble at certin rpms but with the 272 cams it was hard to tell what was stumble and what was just rough idle. But I could tell it wasnt qiute right. Then when I got it tuned the last time at 21psi everything was decent but when they were working on the 27psi race tune it started burping smoke on sudden decel. Here is one of the vids from the race tune on 110oct (keep in mind the 110oct has darker smoke so it looks even worse). After a while the stumble got a bit worse on light load around 3k and holding steady speed. Compression #2 was about 15% lower than the rest of them at the time I checked and just before the current tune. Recently it would smoke on startup if it had been sitting until completely cold. after warmed up it would also smoke out the tailpipe when boosted past 15psi usually on sudden decel.

[quote=poetic--playa;28330594]look on the rim itself for the size of it. i believe 09 wrx's are still 5*100, a safe offset it anywhere from +45 and up (but you can run lower if you like hellaflush). something i cant remember is the size of your hub center, if the 09's are still hub-centric you'll have to be sure the hub bore(?) of the rim is correct. if you search and cant find the hub size lmk and i'll try searching, unless someone else knows.

I saw 08 16x7.5 and 2499

I know there is a 5x100 pattern on the rim, but I cant find the offset. It does say Offset but there is no value. *cries*
