yup, did it at work. nothing like spending another day there when i wanted to be at home watching football. oh well, has to be done. i like my car and i want to keep it for another 100k (if i don't get an fxt or sti itch first...then it is better resale for it to well maintained). oh yeah, changed the oil too, fresh gc in her now.

i was going to snag the pcv from don miller and the plugs from ngk.com sometime this week, just haven't yet. i'm weird about aftermarket stuff for certain components. don't konw why. always have been. i know about the machine shop at weaver. we use them for our heads and flywheels at hyundai...i have had robbie and paul do a ton of personal stuff for me as well. taht said i will likely use their service for mine if i don't buy a flywheel at the same time as my clutch.

Connor, post up a link on WAGs facebook page, please. I've got a bunch on there, but more is always better. Working on video, too, but it'll take a few days.

Where were you standing? Any shots of me falling flat on my back running after a cone? Fell on my 2-way radio and called it a day. (after heading out onto the ice for some playtime)

Very nice pics man. I only had a point and shoot with me.

If this is the guy I'm thinking of (only FXT I remember from yesterday) he needed to slow the eff down in the parking lot/pit area. SERIOUSLY!

Belkis, I was standing a couple hundred feet north of the start gate, taking shots of the last few turns before the end. What's the address to the WAG facebook page? I can't seem to find it.

Bill, yes, it's basically autocross on ice.

Matt, yup, that guy was being a bit of an asshat while not on the course. Unfortunately people who drive like asshats usually make for some good pictures!

Colleen, I was using a Nikon D3100 with a 55-300 lens. I've been using P&S cameras for years, and this was my first time really getting to experiment and appreciate the advantages a DSLR offers.

For those interested, here are a few other photos I've taken (all P&S, you don't need a super expensive camera to take good pictures).

That's true!

That old woman is Chris/Christina/Cripsy?, kleen has an almost identical bugeye tho.

Sorry bout the old woman comment Chris, I guess I'm still not over that time you dumped salsa all over my meal at the mexican restaurant.

Anyone know of some cheap wrx rims I could pick up? I'm itching to try driving on the ice now.

Matty, just just wish I was your Mom! I'm awefully cool and you know it.

Connor.. we bought a Nikon D60 like 2 or 3 years ago and purchased numerous lenses for it as well but never really ended up taking too many pictures... I gotta sit down and play around with it and finally open up the book we bought on it after purchasing.. we tend to just use our smaller pocket sized Cannon instead as its easier to carry and we dont tend to look like a tourist when using it..

and for the record my name is Chris, Christina or Crispy as several of my other friends call me from other car message boards.

Actually, the name is Shannon. Belkis is my wife. Figured out where you were standing after looking at the direction and speed of the drifting. Had to be at the chicane before the timer, right?

Wow, I am terrible with names. That's right about where I was at, gotta pick a spot where people are likely to come into the corner too fast and kick up some snow. Every time that new red STi came by I was disappointed, it was consistently on the line and rarely kicked anything up for me.

anyways...snow Question....How is it that I just moved here...and I feel that I drive better in snow than someone whos been here all their life???? (Witnessed a collision this morning on Highpoint and Watts road because someone tried to beat the light??? ) Fail..

sigh...

Anyways... someone mentioned a meet??? when??? consider me there...

Have a safe/good day people..

experience helps, but no replacement for skill/common sense...idiots will drive like idiots regardless of experience...maybe a little better than similar idiots w/o experience...

so what exactly is being done to kleen's engine? when i saw your pics getting the engine out, it inspired me to get my butt in gear on my block replacement...i finished mine and have been driving it for 2 weeks!

side note: first snow of the year with the RS on the road = delicious

yes, idiots will be idiots. even if they have studded tires.

I decided to experiment running premium gas in my 2.5i, holy crap what a difference. At least I'm PERCEIVING a difference.. It responds a lot better(smoother) in the cold mornings, and seems to pull noticeably harder. Got something like 3-4MPG better on the premium too, comparing to my last few tanks of the mid-grade. 29MPG over the course of the whole tank. I guess I'm not driving hard enough, LOL

Still trying to decide if it's worth it to run it full time, at least until the weather warms up.

I presume you all with turbos are running the expensive stuff too?

Kleen's motor spun Crank/Rod Bearing...200 k plus on the old motor..
switched out short blocks..now, new motor is almost ready to put back in..
...upgraded a few goodies in the process...STi oil pump...Pan, baffle...oil cooler delete...and a couple of other things..

anyways..cool on the RS... the Speedwagon is very close to my old RS Feel...maybe even better..

Yes, currently tuned for 93 so its a nice little drop in the bucket when I get gas -- sometimes it turns into a challenge in finding a place with 93 and not 91 --

I used to get 93 with 0 Ethanol but all the places I knew about changed to 91 with 0 Ethanol which made me sad.

Filled the Nitro the other day with normal reg unleaded which I thought was a treat from paying high Diesel costs when we had the Libby and noticed I spent over 80.00 to fill it.. whooopsies and it only gets around 15-17 mpg

How much fuel does remote starting kill? I think we gotta stop doing that as we typically run it for about 5 minutes or so before we get in and leave.
