man i wish i could have been there!!!!! i was stuck at work all day. atleast part of me was there (the green tent over registration lol)

on a side but sad note i have now acquired a 1990 ford taurus. not that i wanted to in this way but my great grand mother who really was a second mom to me since grandma and grandpa raised me from 8 weeks old at the age of 93 has passed away as of last night. i was sitting on grandmas lap (i was 4 at the time) when grandma and grandpa signed the paers and she "gave" the car to me on my 16th birthday that when her and grandpa passed away i got it.

Sorry, Josh. I see you still worked the whole day, too. If I had known the road rally was going by Weaver, I'd have had everyone blast the horns at you on the way by. The tent came in really handy again, thanks much for letting us use it. Jesi would have looked like a lobster without it.

We'll have to go out on the regular drive as a group again soon. This time on a Sunday.

Hard to believe I raced a go-cart around that track once. We considered going to watch, but this was the first day we've both had free since winter. PJs never came off today!!

Glad you guys had fun. Any chance of some video?

Really wish I could have been at the meet. Life happened to spring some surprises on me forcing me to miss it. Death in the family (my grandma's sister, whatever that title is - my mom was close with her) and my dad being re-admitted to the hospital after a major surgery a few days earlier. ugh.

Next time...

Sorry for the losses to your family Jevvro and DJPaulie -

Speaking of deaths -- Jackass lost 1 of its crew this morning .. Ryan Dunn's Porsche crashed and caught fire today in PA -- Speed most likely was a factor.. there was a passenger as well but they have not yet been named.

I always tholught he was smartest of the bunch and most adult like.. perhaps not.

Hoklan is looking at a 2006 Forester. Any thoughts and/or ideas? Warnings? 103k miles only 7k near Chicago. Minimal body damage, the guy said mechanical parts are great.

Thank you

Thanks for the Subaru meet antitarmac.

I'm driving to the Fox Valley Thursday night. Friday afternoon I am driving to RA to catch the Grand-Am race and then driving back.
Then Saturday, driving back out to RA for Rolex and may stay for part of Nationwide race.

Thanks for the Subaru meet antitarmac.
When considering something from IL, always carfax. It's a title-washing state.

Belkis and I are working on something to say thank-you for doing photography all day. I didn't have to edit any of them, either, so that saved a week of work. I didn't know you missed getting a t-shirt. My apologies.

On a side note...

I'm cruising to work on Burke RD this morning at 60-65 mph and come around a little bend as a guy in a silver Tacoma with a topper pulls out about 50 ft in front of me and takes up both lanes. I end up hitting the ditch on the right just missing his stop sign, sliding the car sideways through the ditch and launching back into my lane just in front of him. All this happened in less than 0.9 seconds. At 65 mph a car travels 95 ft-per-second. I think I knocked the front right wheel out of allignment a little, but that's it. RallyX experience just came in real handy.

I think I scared the crap out of the guy. He just poked along and disappeared in my rear view mirror.

Just another morning. I think there's been a total of 3 fatalities on my route in the last month alone.

Should have slowed down, got his plates and followed him and called it in.

Dane county police procedure:
1.chide me for going over 55 mph
2.ask me what I want them to do
3.issue a disorderly conduct ticket to me for following someone

Been there, done that, fought it, paid it. Welcome to Dane county justice. "Unfortunately, in Dane County, you have no recourse unless you're dead or have the incident on video." An officer actually told me that while the woman next to him wrote me the citation. This after a guy tried forcing me into the center divider on the beltline for entertainment a few years ago. I even heard that guy tell the officer "Yeah, I did that! Whatcha gonna do about it?!" No ticket, warning, nothing.

When people mess with me I just reach over and get my piece out of the glove box.

Hey Franz, offhand if you know, not a big deal, do you have any idea what my wrecks might pull on a dyno? He's stock except the SPT exhaust. I've seen a video on Youtube and it says like 675467456 hp but the inets aren't real so you know...

Mang, sorry if I'm not making sense, I'm buizzed on two beers...ffs...

OMW home from work I was speeding on teh beltline and I had a travel buddy, anotehr wrx. silver hatch I like when I get subaru travel buddies.

Well, stopped by the intersection where I had the near-miss yesterday. Was a little shaken up when I posted, but the intersection was HWY T and Town Hall Rd. I can't fault the guy in the least bit after checking it out.....and all the other tracks in the ditch....and car parts. It turns out to be a real nasty blind intersection from all 4 directions. Come over a little hill in the direction he was coming from and you can miss the stops sign real easily. Even if you do stop, you can't see traffic right or left. Come in from either direction and cars at the intersection aren't visible, either. Drive up in the 4th corner and the road rises at the stop sign so you can't see right or left there either.

What really irritated me though is that I missed a huge mud hole by a couple feet when I hit the ditch. The whole side of the car would have been covered if I had hit it right!!
