What size where the block halves honed to? How much for just the rings?

Honing doesn't increase cylinder bore, boring does.

If you think taking an abrasive hone to a cylinder wall does not increase cylinder bore... good luck

So then what pistons would you put in a block that has not been bored, but honed? Standard bore, or .010, or .020 over? You put in standard bore pistons meaning that honing doesn't increase cylinder bore enough to make a difference on piston selection, but I don't want to clutter up someone's for sale thread with a debate.

Every piston manufacturer has different bore specs even if they are all 99.5 mm pistons. Each pison is going to expand differently. It makes a difference. That is why I asked. Stock Sti motors spec a different piston for different bores. A size is 99.505 - 99.515, and the B size is 99.495 - 99.505.

If this block was properly honed the owner would know the bore diameter, but if they just gave it the dingleberry (flex hone), who knows?

My hone was done by a professional machine shop; I don't mess with things like that. The block had 50k on it with no wall damage at all; I opted to have it honed for a clean surface to work with. Subaru standard pistons and rings will work just fine.
