Default MEET: Irvine/Lake Forest Every Wed @ 8PM

This is the Irvine Meet...

Currently meeting in the parking lot near bestbuy right near where the 5fwy and 405fwy meet in "irvine/laguna hills/lake forest" from 8pm till whenever people leave (usually 10pm or sometimes as late as 1am )

Google maps to the Meet Location

(16213 Lake Forest Dr)
(Irvine, CA)

Typical meet rules apply... Please don't drive into our parking lot like you are Johnny Tran and ready to race for "pinks" - No need for rev'ing or showing off how loud your BOV is. Other than that just come on out and have a good time with fellow Subaru enthusiasts!!! (Elden can come too) - Open for suggestions of other content to be added here.

Turnout is usually around 15-20, slow nights are more like 10-15 and busy nights are usually 20-30 cars. Everyone is real friendly so come out and meet with us!

people tend to tighten it waaay too much.

i always would try out other peoples SS. Felt way different and harder to shift but shorter throw. Mine was always easy and short.

ask edwin. i fixed it for him

u dont even need my help then...

Just move your center shifter trim outa the way (pops off by hand, just lift on it)

get 12mm wrench, and a short 12mm socket and loosten the pivot bolt..Loosten it in small increments til it feels good. It should be to the point that it feels like its hardley even tight. Mine is AMAZING, way nicer shifting then yours (no offence haha)

It wont, just loosten it all the way off, then start to tighten it slightly then.

or if u want, i can just take a look at it myself. Ive done quite a few SS in my days of owning subarus

No worries, when do you want me to take a look, this wednessday?

I can bring tools to the meet this wednessday if you can hold out..It only requires a couple tools at that to do the entire install job from scratch, and two 12mm for the pivot bolt that may need to be adjusted on urs. I can bring some nice grease i have that I use on all my installs that require grease.

Then you can feel my shifter to get an idea and compare. Im willing to bet its the pivote bolt thats too tight, even Alex said so too. Mine felt like urs til I loostened it up..

Yes he does, and i think he installs for cheap, but hes about 35 min drive from orange, up the 57 past the 10

Do you have tires already??

I usual always go to discount tire in santa ana, and ive never had any of my nice wheels scratched. As long as they use they use the latest designed tire machines ur good to go..

either way im glad i will have one that isnt broken anymore... little things like that bother me enough, so that will clear my mind of that problem! woot woot

^ sucky dude. I have shotgun open right now (unless Calvin comes with), so let me know if you don't want to drive on Saturday. I'm not going to stay too late.

Anyone going to Cars&Coffee tomorrow??? Thinking about going, I need my fix of high-priced auto porn.
