Nice to see that C-16 and E-85 make the same power levels.
I made a post trying to inquire about the Evo III 16G 1/4 record, but alas not one reply other than a smart-ass comment about fake videos. I think I can get mine to go 11.9 and possibly less, if I risk the transmission.

There was one posted a few months back that ran 11.9@119- I think. Coolrex drove it, but it wasn't his car. It was on 26 psi with meth and trapped 96 in the 1/8th. I thought that was weird to trap that high in the 1/8th but not pull any harder in the back half. If I'm not mistaken, it was trapping higher AND running quicker through the eighth than Coolrex's own record holding car. Oh, and it was a 2.0L too.

Sheesh, 26 psi on that 2.0 must be a 3-4k wall of torque. (for a 2.0)

That would be pretty awsome. @ 119, and a 5 speed, that should be an 11.30 car. That seems excessively fast for a 16g, but who knows. I actually think i remember that post. That motor had to be SCREAMING

20 PSI on 93
26 psi on C16.

I would love and try to get in the 11's but I dont want to risk the tranny and I'm pretty sure the C16 map would destroy it pretty quick.

Thanks for the replies.

Here's that other thread: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1753425

Rexican, sorry for the threadjack and congrats. Is that spooling so late because it's an 8cm(I doubt it), or because of the way the dyno is loading it? When's it spooling in third gear on the street?

I think its a combinatin between the 8cm and FMIC. I choose the 8cm becuase i wanted power to hold till redline.

I went 12.3@111 with a big 16g on 93 oct pump gas on my ej205 years ago. I used to run 21psi tapering to 19. Stock 5spd with act street clutch...full weight. On a dynojet, my car made 321 whp/301 wtq...never tried race gas.

Nice numbers either way!

I have Trey's old turbo. It was the FP version with ported exhaust/intake inlets. It had some axial shaft play, so I sent it to Blouch for a new CHRA. They informed me that it had an incorrect evo3 wheel(knockoff I guess), and Mike put the correct wheel in with the new CHRA. Sorry again for the sidetracking, just thought I'd add some extra info...

Cams/headwork would do a lot for holding power to redline on our motors, but I agree that the 8cm housing is a good idea too. I'm surprised it spools that slowly though. So when do you see full boost on the street with your 93 tune? I'm getting 19 psi by 3700ish in 3rd gear with my 7cm housing evo3 16g, btw, and wondering how this compares. I would think you'd be within 100 rpm or so of that. I know JSarv switched to an 8cm housing on his 18g, and only lost 50ish rpm of spool...

Yup, I hit full boost (20PSI) around 3800ish in 3rd gear. Your estimation was right on.

Did Jorge give you any gruff about tuning to 26psi without upgrading the MAP sensor or did he simply disable fuel cut? (read NO safety)

No. He just did his thing and then he let me know what it was tuned to.
