It's official. Marlon's plays with dolls. I suppose the consolation in this is that it wasn't a blow up doll.

definitely some amazing combinations shown in here. I think sonny is a mad wizard. I couldn't be more pleased with what he manifested for me.

Does Car toyz do good work for HID kits, I was looking at going there to get mine done but I wanted to ask around first. I took my husbands truck there for his remote start and their pricing sounded pretty reasonable.

Are you looking to go fullon retro or plug-n-play kit? Either way there are plenty of people on this forum-including myself who could help you install a kit. Whatever you decide I would recommend going no higher than 5000k for color-temperature. If you have any questions feel free to PM me.

I got the harness done but couldn't get any pics. I will be taking some pics of soldering to make up for it.

Well, they are finally done. It's been almost 7 weeks since I first started researching and bought the set of 05 WRX headlights from a guy in Seattle. These have been all over the place and I have several people to thank. I really couldn't of done this without Eric, he let me use his stock STi headlamps for the entire time. I get them in tomorrow, I'll make a new post with pics once they are in and adjusted.

Default Aleut mod

So I didn't like the hole left by clearing out the turnsignals and I didn't want to put a pipe in like I've seen & done before. Looking around for something different I saw something right under my nose-the bulb hoods for the stock halogens! With a little trimming and a small nut and bolt and the hole is covered and the turnsignal still works. Might not be everyone's cup of tea but I've never seen another one like it:
Hard to see in this shot but the modded one is on the left:

"Aleut mod" Lol!

Not currently, but I can take a few. I'm trying to get amber bulbs to replace the clear ones.

Hey Sonny do you think gloss black paint would be reflective enough on the reflector bowl if I mounted LEDs behind the shroud like you did? I'm really considering the mini mori swap now that I know I don't have to cut or scrEw anything with my gc lenses. They come with a h4 base bracket that's pretty sweet.

I don't think even gloss black would be reflective enough but you could try it without the paint 1rst. Maybe something for me to experiment with.

You never know although crome reflects light like a mirror a flat or a matte will give it a warm glow behind the shroud personally I would like the warm glow vs the bright red behind the light the cops might not like you as much but that's my .02

I plan on trying some things using spare parts and gloss vs. flat paint. What can't be seen in the pictures are how bright the LEDs are. Compared to the amber turnsignal bulbs they aren't that bright and are nearly invisible when the 4300k HIDs are on. When I do get some results I'll post them up.

Did you swap bulbs to make sure it wasn't the ballast? I got my PNP kit from Omni-X. I'm still using their ballasts. Heres a link:
http://www.omnixautosports.com/h7-hi...s-set-s/48.htm
Not sure if they carry H7s that can handle 55 watts though.

Yeah, it follows the bulb. It wouldn't start sometimes as well. It's a DDM 55W kit.

I found the PNP 55W on DDM's site. I'll just order a set and play around.
