('93-'01) Need snorkel?

I have a MY00 RS, and I just bought a Rallispec Intake for it (its en route). Now, part of the deal was to send some of my stock intake to the private vendor. I need to send the front half of the intake to him beforeI actually recive the Rallispec (long story). I was wondering if I can safely remove the snorkel/slincer and still drive around. Its just a silencer right? Anyone have a pic of a stock 2000 engine? I'm too lazy to go outside

you should be ok, but keep in mind you will be sucking up hot air though a stock filter. blah. but it will be ok for a few days.
