Cool FS: (MD) The Erlewine Lazer Guitar - $500 OBO

SOLD!
*I wish I had this many offers earlier lol

This is one of the first model Erlewine Lazer Guitars (I believe) made almost 30 years ago. My dad had it before I was even born and gave it to me when I was just a child. It is in absolute mint condition. I, personally, am shocked at how well-kept it was.

It's a great looking guitar, very unique and highly backed by someone named Johnny Winter - who is reputable, I think. I really do not know much about the guitar world.

It's a very rare find, I've googled, froogled, ebayed for hours and I can't find one being sold anywhere other than the original site.

It sounds great, and holds it's tune well.

PRICE DROP TO $400
I can't go any lower =(
  • I'm asking $400 OBO.
  • I live in Gaithersburg, Maryland (Montgomery County)
  • Preferred local, but I do not mind shipping it - give me your zip and I'll find costs
  • Comes with a case (as seen in pictures) and a free set of replaceable strings

$3100 new. Hand built with a 6 month waiting list. Sounds like a steal. I was considering getting it but, I only play acoustics.

Haha yeah, I only posted that after I decided against buying it myself. You should try local guitar shops and see what they'll give you for it. They often buy used guitars.

Aw, you should try it out hahaha. I just plugged it in and it still sounds sooooooo nice. I'm starting to feel a little guilty for selling it but my car needs a new turbo asap lol.

All the shops have never heard of erlewine lazer guitars, so whack.

Used turbo's is the one thing I don't have. I mean I have two TD04's but, they're pretty much junk.

It's tempting... I was expecting Dan to buy it. I'll think about it some more. Would you drive to Frederick, MD? I'm about 20 minutes from there. Not saying I'm getting it but, the less of a drive it is, the more tempting it is.

I can try to drive to Frederick after whatever is wrong with my car is fixed. Thought it was the turbo, doesn't seem to be now. Changed the spark plugs, got better. One of the old ones were literally broken, but it's still misfiring in boost. Ugh, problems. I'm going to try to get my mechanic to data log it tomorrow. Until then, Frederick would be way too far from me. I'll let you know?

That isn't a hand built Erlewine, it's a Hondo replica. Erlewine licensed Hondo to build this guitar in factories. It's still an awesome guitar and definitely worth the 500, but it's not a 3100 dollar guitar. Johnny Winter is one of the best blues guitar players of all time. He actually played a Hondo Lazer until Erlewine found out and made him one.

How can you tell an original from a licensed Hondo?

Hmm

The logo Hondo used was the outline letters. It's still a really sweet guitar though.

I'm interested in buying a used Lazer guitar, either Erlewine or Hondo, preferably in white, but will consider other options. If this one is still available, let me know.

Please contact me directly
ZUrlocker at hot mail etc

Thanks
