Nice HU, I have an AVIC F90BT myself.

Yes, the mess of wires looks overwhelming, but I am pretty much a noob when it comes to these kinds of things, but I was able to install it using just the manual and taking my time. I did mod mine so that the DVD player will work with out the parking brake.

http://avic411.com/ is a good place for tips, tricks, mods, etc. for Pioneer's AVIC series.

Good luck w/ the sale!

hqp921: Thanks for the reminder!

I already set the unit up for the bypass. So, you just have to ground the parking brake wire and the yellow wire and it will be bypassed!

Oh, and FWIW, I installed my GPS receiver (the little square thing in the 5th photo of the post with all the wires), underneath my clock pod... I have had zero issues with it being able to pick up a signal. This would be applicable for Imprezas (WRX and STI as well) 02 - 07 (unsure about 08+). For people who may want to know the "best" place to mount it -- I like it out of sight. I wired the microphone up the A-Pillar, the headliner, and then clipped it behind the rear view mirror -- You don't notice it's there.

There's plenty of room back there (the Impreza line, anyway) as well for "wiggle space" and getting all the wires in there, in case someone's wondering. Zip-ties do a great job of condensing everything up.

...most of the tips above refer to Subaru's Impreza line (or the Saab 92x, in my case -- same exact platform)... But I thought it was relevant, considering the forum.

ha i mounted my gps antenna right on top of the clock pod. sticky-taped the mic to the top of the steering column next to my boost gauge.

but anyways, if you're willing to part out the blue tooth setup, i'd be glad to take it off your hands for the right price. i'm pretty sure it's compatible with the Z2 and the iphone...

I don't have the money for everything and don't particularly care for anything but the head unit....

I'd like to keep it as one big package right now, but I'll get back to you if I change my mind. The iPod module doesn't stream iPod video. However, the AVIC plays DVDs in surround sound.

So wish I has the coin. The Z1 was what I wanted when it first cam out and the Z3 is just so nice an addition over the Z1 unit.
