The CRD engineers and designers utilize state-of-the-art CAD technology in all their projects. Models are built in closely guarded secure areas with access only for authorized personnel. The same security measures are in place for the state-of-the-art workshop where the prototypes are built and where the finished models are digitized for manufacturing the required tools and dies.

CRD has the latest production facilities at its disposal and provides storage space for more than 1,000 vehicles, guarded 24 hours a day. The CRD logistics center manages the smooth transport of vehicles to the customers’ distribution centers or directly to the respective authorized dealers.

For the development of complete engines or performance kits including all necessary testing and calibrating procedures CRD uses latest-generation stationary and dynamic test benches.

Another CRD specialty is the company-own proving ground that features among others a skid pad, a shake test track with Belgian Block cobblestone and a certified configurable noise measuring track. This makes CRD also an ideal partner for the ECE homologation of a wide range of vehicles that we conduct for automobile manufacturers from around the world.
At the Frankfurt International Auto Show IAA 2009 the engineering, design and marketing firm is present with its own stand hall 5. From here CRD will make and maintain contact to other exhibiting automobile manufacturers and importers.

Conversations with consumers and car dealers serve as extensive on-site market research to examine zeitgeist and consumers’ expectations.

In March 2008 the premium brand Infiniti celebrated its market launch in Europe. Now Infiniti presents a concept car made by CRD. The concept car comes with two different engines. The FX37S is powered by a 3.7-liter (226 cu. in.) V6 engine that produces 320 hp (316 bhp) / 235.5 kW. Carrying the FX50S badge it is powered by a 5.0-liter (305 cu. in.) V8 engine with 390 hp (385 bhp) / 287 kW. This “Limited Edition” concept car of the Infiniti FX celebrates its world debut on the CRD stand at the Frankfurt Motor Show IAA 2009.

These five-door models are available in black or white and set themselves apart with special 21-inch turbine-design light-alloy wheels. The wheels, front grille, side air inlets in the front fenders and the roof carrier are all painted gray.
CRD lends the Infiniti FX concept car a sporty luxurious interior. The upper part of the dashboard as well as the upper parts of all four door panels are covered with the finest leather in the company upholstery shop. Brown seams create a classy contrast to the black leather and complement the perfectly matched dark-brown surface structure of the CRD carbon fiber interior trim.

A- and B-pillars as well as the entire headliner are covered with color-coordinated Alcantara.

Not a breakthrough regarding design over the last 2 generations but a V8 might be cool or not... TT V-6 would be killer...

They need left and right side wheels. The drivers side would cool the brakes a lot better than the passenger side if they are all the same.

Honestly, I'm not all that impressed. This is just a bone-stock fx50 with a gussied up interior and different wheels. As it is, an FX is pretty darn nice inside, and for an SUV, goes like stink.

Um.....the EX35 is the crossover...the FX by size is their actual entry level SUV.


It's a really nice interior in a vehicle that already came with a really nice interior. It's a waste.

The FX50 in factory trim is a monster.

it's still a crossover. it's car based. Infiniti even calls it a crossover.

Well, they both kinda are. Infiniti made the EX35 the chick version, and the FX the guy version. Personally, I like the EX a bit more, they just need to firm up the suspension a bit. I'm hunting for a new car, and every day I flip between getting the EX35 or a WRX/STI. They're great cars, but go in radically different directions. The EX is really comfortable, and great for riding on a long trip, or getting stuck in rush hour traffic, but it doesn't really stir the soul. The WRX has got ****-eating grin performance, but get stuck in a traffic jam, and rowing the stick for an hour could get old fast.

I went from a 06 WRX Limited....to a 07 STI....to a 08 EX35...so I have a bit of experiance behind each.

Each car did wonderful in it's market. I obviously felt in their market they were the best contenders.

I will say however that the WRX LTD's interior is very very close to the EX's interior. Besides some extra creeks and rattles in the WRX all things are almost equal.

I do however enjoy my EX. It's a bit heavy but has near 300HP and has no issues rolling out on the power. It handles like one would suspect but much better then anything else I test drove besides maybe the RDX. I'd love to compare a Q5 but they werent out yet and are a considerable amount more.

Yeah, I test drove the RDX too, along with the Mazda CX-7. Both felt a little too front-drivey for my taste. Test drove a RAV4 v6 too. Nice acceleration, otherwise, felt like a POS--everything in the car felt cheap. The EX and the WRX stood head and shoulders above everything else as far as overall feel. I need to do a side by side comparison between a 09 WRX and an 09 STI. I like the styling of the STI more, and want the HID headlights, and if I can dial in the handling to feel more like a RWD vehicle via the DCCD, I'll probably go that route.

I test drove a V6 Rav4 and a RDX when I was buying.


The RDX felt great...wasnt overly impressed with sticking with a turbo 4 on a small SUV lugging weight around.

V6 Rav4....everything I'd ever need in one package....just not what I wanted in one package.

^^yeah that's pretty horrible quality control, especially when they know that press photos will be taken of the vehicle.
