Default STI Yellow Side Feed Injectors -- Flow Rate?? A Mystery it seems..

Hello All,

I am trying to find out what the flow rate is for the STI yellow side feed injectors that were on the '04-'06 STIs I believe.

Some people think it's 565cc and others think it's 520cc and others some other number. Does anyone know the real flow rate @ 3 bar on these?? I can't find any concrete information anywhere.

Thanks!!

I had mine flowed by both RC Engineering and Witchhunter.

RC reported around 520cc.
Witchhunter reported around 500cc.

The problem is different companies use different fluids to test them. I would go by witchhunters though.

So we have ratings from 500cc to 520cc

hmm, that range isn't too bad. So it's definitely not 565cc?

I too am very interested in the answer to this question. It would help me to know the real flow rate to make tuning with them easier on many levels. I've heard both ratings as well. Which is it?

Anyone have any idea where the 565cc (or sometimes truncated to 550cc) number comes from? Is that what Subaru rates them?

i've done alot of searching and reading on this subject, and after playing with my flow rate within my tune, i can say that yellow sidefeeds are NOT 565-550cc.

i've left them at the stock value, 503cc. works best, easiest to dial in maf scaling.

if your targets are off, change your maf scaling.
