Default 2010 Holden SS V-Series Special Edition And Special Edition International Models Anno

Quote:
MERE RUMOURS LAST month, the Pontiac-faced Holden SS V-Series Special Edition has today been announced by Holden.

The SS V-Series Special Edition sports a grille clearly inspired by that featured on the SS-based, US-market Pontiac G8.
Along with the special edition grille, the letterbox bonnet scoops and lower splitter of the G8 have made their way across to the new special edition Holden.

“SS V-Series has always been about sports performance and ultimate road presence. Now we’ve dialled it up even further," Philip Brook, Holden Director of Marketing said.
Available in three colours - black, red and blue - the Special Edition version of the SS V-Series is offered in sedan, Sportwagon and Ute form.

The SS V-Series Special Edition will be available from November, after the Ute makes its debut on Friday the 2nd of October at the Deni Ute Muster.

This isn’t quite the reborn Pontiac G8 most Americans had in mind: Confirming last month’s rumors, Holden, General Motors’ Australian subsidiary, has announced a new special edition version of its Commodore sedan built using leftover Pontiac G8 body panels.

The new Commodore SS V-Series Special Edition will be available in sedan, wagon and pickup “Ute” versions – the latter of which will closely resemble the stillborn Pontiac G8 ST.
“The SS V-Series Special Edition will boast a new aggressive twin nostril front fascia with unique lower splitter and twin letter-box hood scoops,” Holden said in a statement.
Holden didn’t release any equipment details, although a six-speed manual will be standard. Pricing starts at $47,490 Australian – or about $41,500 USD.
They’ll go on sale in Australia in November and will be available in three colors: Phantom black, Red Hot and Voodoo blue. The Ute will make its official debut at the Deni Ute Muster, a Holden Ute enthusiast gathering tomorrow.
