They are stupid lol. They are definitely holding me up.. I'm tempted to dremel out the middle piece to I can use a normal 6 point bit.

those are security torx bits, as rick said too. But you can get a set locally for less than 5.00 bucks at harbor freight. they do that at attempt to keep people from tampering with it. they figure those are the least common tool people would have.

Get your self that kit. It is cheap and has like every possible(smaller) torx, hex, star etc, that you will ever need.
I bought mine at autozone or checker for like 15 bucks.
Thanks Rick! I will be careful with the megatron device.

It was just bolted to the trim piece by the radio and on the driver side. I suppose I should trace the wires to see what it is tapped into.

There the tamper torx bits and the other unit looks like lojack of some sort. You can buy the torx bits anywhere just make sure that they have little hole in the middle of the bit.

MM, looks similar to security systems I saw when in Seattle. I would guess with out seeing how its wired, that if the key is turned one way the car wont start, turned the other it will start.

Unfortunately I don't have the key haha. I guess it would be kind of nice to have.. Nice alternative to pulling fuses to fool thieves. Does anyone know how to acquire a key for this?
