Grazie. I've been blowing my eardrums trying to break them in.

Have you ever played with Reason? I used to run Reason into Digital Performer for midi drums. It's freaking awesome.

Honestly I am not into computer faced music creators, may sound weird but I like to get my hands in on it. I got this KORG last night and will go home tonight and hook it up to my 2 MK-1200 Technics turnbles and my kick ass Vestex 3 channel mixer. Oh and I use Serato Scratch live to mix with on the tables. Its a software platform that allows you to use to blank Serato special vinyl records and play MP3's from your laptop just like they were actual records. I never want to loose the feel of vinyl. I LOVE IT.

I need to get a new setup of speakers though. I have been using some old home theater ones I got for free from a family member. They work but I need some new ones.

So much $$$ invested in this stuff

Tell me about it. My home recording rig is mostly in storage now. But at its prime it included my (then powerful) PowerMac G4 dual 1.25, MAudio Omni interface, Mackie 1402VLZ, a box full of mics (including a ~$700 AKG I managed to get at cost ), MAudio midi keyboard, and MAudio BX5a monitors. Then there's my guitar crap, which I won't even get into.

You should really look at Reason. I don't know how extendable it is as a software interface for hardware, but it's still damned cool. It's not just another sequencer.

I don't know anything about music, but I know my friend Grady has teh big version of those. He's got a bunch of recording gear and makes beats for local rappers. It's fun to watch him work, I do all of his computer stuff. So he's got pro tools and something else like q base or something all hooked up. We were making t-pain tracks with an auto tuner the other day, it's hilarious! SHORRTAAAY!!
