Default So whos checked out the oiling system for sohc head

I have a GM6 and and had a brake caliper go south so I headed down to the subaru dealer in my neighborhood and bought a used one for $20 anyway I asked if the had a junk sohc head for me to play with so the gave me a set cams valves springs and all unwrecked. So I took them apart and was suprised to see the cams are drilled. It wasn't immediately evident to me where the oil came from until I saw the machined slot under the cam cover. So I guess the oil bleeds through a notch in the cam bearing surface goes into the cam then feeds the other journals goes up through the bolt holes for the rocker bars then into them to the rockers. Is this correct?
