Just Got AP, Perrin Stage1 Map...couple questions

09 STI 2300 miles....just got my Accessport! First had to install the Cobb stage 1 map, then reflashed to Perrin Stage1 93oct. The Perrin map is definately much better than the stock Cobb IMO, more aggressive anyway. I can't believe how much better this car drives with the new program, smoother, idles better, and tons more power especially in the higher RPM's. THIS is the car I thought I was purchasing, its truly a beast.

A couple questions:

I did not have to connect the green

test connectors to reflash, in the new manual from COBB (downloaded online) it doesn't say I need to. Will the program hold, is this ok?

second, the Perrin says it has a target boost level of 17.8 PSI, but the AP shows that I hit 18.7 PSI, is this normal ? Is this ok on the stock turbo? I am concerned about prematurely wearing out my engine with the extra boost.

Third, do you guys reflash to stock when you bring your car to subaru? even for an oil change? do you do realtime stock or full reflash or unmarry?

and finally a question about valet and anti-theft mode....if you just do a realtime flash to valet mode for example, couldn't someone disconnect the battery, and have it revert to stage1?

1. Green test mode conectors not needed to flash these cars.

2. Boost could be normal. What do the perrin map notes say for that map 17.8 +/-

3. I never reflash my car when in for maintenance personally, some do though.
