Default tweeter kit

Im getting a 02 impreza RS and Im planning putting a full after market stereo in, one of the options is a tweeter kit my question is are wires ran specifically for the tweeter kit or do they run the wires and just not put the tweeters in? anyone that did not get the tweeter kit and has installed tweeters should be able to answer this. I know im just lazy but I dont feel like running more wires than I have too

The good news: the tweeter wires are already there, even without the kit.
The bad news: there is no crossover: all the "tweeter wires" are is wires spliced off from the main speaker wires in a "Y" splice in the wiring harness inside the metal door.
Thus, only 2 wires (+ and -) go from the body to the door through the wire tube. If you mount your crossover in the door panel (as I did), no problem, it's easy to run your new woofer and tweeter wires in there. If you mount your crossover inside the body, you still have to run separate tweeter wires out to the door.

It would be easy, I did with my infinities. I got a harness from the OEM tweeters, and just stuck them on

In my opinion, if you're handy enough to mount a crossover, you're handy enough to mount your aftermarket tweeter without spending $50-75 (or whatever the price is) just for the little metal bracket the OEM tweeter sits on.
