So we have been planning this excursion to a track rental for a month. We were gifted with good weather, and a well-prepared track. There were about 20 cars, and about 6-8 of them were from The Shop or related.

John (BUILTSTI) Visconti, Andrew, and I left at 6:30am and both drove 2.5 hours to arrive.

I dug right in on my first pass with my best to date: 11.16 @125. Try as I may I could not best this ET after successive trials.

Junior was there for the The Shop, and had his hands full advising all kinds of projects. I asked him to take a break and put his other skillz to work as a driver.

It took a few passes, but he finally got the hang of my car, and proceeded to Show me the Money. A rare sighting: Watch it unfold below.

This was fun. I left with a broken axle, but breakage is part of the ballgame. I'll return for my own 10-second timecard soon enough. In the meanwhile, I'm pleased.

BIG Thanks to Jimmy at The Shop for co-ordinating this event and for his relentless help and customer satisfaction. No one outperforms his work!

Coop

just out of curiosity, seems like junior might not have been on the lc (2 step) long enough for full boost (whatever you see at launch rpm), just curious if there is any improvement on 60ft if you stay on lc longer is does it just build boost that fast?...either way thats crazy.

Awesome work guys. you could tell the 10 second pass was a smooth launch with no wheel chatter in the video, that was the key.......................a full turn to the "gofast" knob didnt hurt either. LOL

Way to go!!!!

Great work and driving Junior! Must be nice to have something other than cat piss at the pumps . Did you get a chance to re-dyno the car with the extra boost from the turn of the MBC. That should be about 2psi, so I would imagine the cars doing a good 30whp more.

Thanks

It was 22psi before the turn of the controller, same settings from when he was making mid 400s.. After the turn I saw 24 in 3rd and 4th tapering off to 21.. I told Jim I think it has a small boost leak. The car was holding 23 on the dyno.
I would guess we are around 500whp considering this car is 100-150lbs heavier then overboostings STI.

Congrats Coop.

Also, Junior, such solid driving man! You've got some serious skill. Question though, when you're shifting do you clutch out or are you just banging gears?
