I'm gonna guess no, probably so they don't compete with eachother for attention.

looks nice, like a combo 370z, genesis, and s2000.

but a big turbo would have been nice...

the turbo charged 4 cylinder Gensis is a dog compared to its big bro NA V6

The Subaru version will be kept under wraps until the day before it hits showrooms, to limit complaining about how ugly it is.

The Subaru version will have clear tails and a giant antennae on the rear roof.

Hey Hyundai Genesis Coupe designers...

^that is how a front fascia is done

The Genesis' ugly mug is starting to grow on me, but still- it could have been so much better.

Anyone else see the front end looks a bit like the current tiburon as well as the slightly different c pillar, rearend from 90's rx7 and the roof line of a gumpert apollo minus the front window?

I give it a solid 8.5/10 on styling.

If they can keep it LIGHT and quick it will be a winner.

I know right -- a total ripoff of those 5 completely different design cues.

If they can keep it around 2500-2800lbs I would think about getting one. Drop in a STi motor go stage 2 and call it a day.

Very nice looking car.

My Impreza with the bigger 2.5L motor and AWD weighs just about 3000lbs so this thing should be at the most around 2800lbs

I don't think there's any difference in weight between a 2.5L and a 2.0L... but not having AWD should be good for a 200-400lb weight advantage.

With only 200hp it's gonna need to be even lighter than 2800lbs to be competitive though. And the N/A EJ20 is not known for being very responsive to modifications. I bet the comp ratio will be way higher so FI might not be a viable option either.

Agree with prodarwin, Camry V6 with the 6 speed manual trans would be perfect.

Fixed. If they were going to put a toyota motor in it there are better ones to use than the camry V6

Lotus seems to think that the 2GR-FE engine is pretty darn good considering they use it in the Evora.
