Nice - I just went Stage 2 recently and love the extra power but it made me want more.

However - I'm afraid of breaking my tranny with as much power as a bigger turbo like this would push.

Are you worried about that or do you have plans to upgrade gears eventually?

unfortunately, my transmission broke two years ago on a stock turbo, and yes i was beating on it pretty bad. Your tranny should be able to handle anything close to 400. But its entirely up to how you drive!!

Great to see these dyno results.
I installed but not tuned or on the road:
VF-39
Silicone charge pipe
565 Blues
GMBCS
Walbro FP
GodSpeed TMIC w/ silicone Y-pipe
Perrin twin DP
No-name UP
B&B 3" catback

I was shooting for 275 ft-lbs so nice to know it is realistic.

I've had a VF43 on my car for over 30k miles and have 90k miles on the engine with no issues. The most I've had is 276 whp with 260 ft lbs of torque on a cool weather. Peak boost is 19 psi. Last weekend, I had a retune and pulled 265 whp and 250 ft lbs/tq on 20 psi (85 degrees). I had a bad bcs that's why we had a retune and installed a manual boost controller. The dynamomter is a dynojet dynamometer.

Here's my mod list:
-VF43 Turbo
-Deatchwerks 565CC Injectors
-Strumong Downpipe(Heatwrapped)
-Strumong Hiflow catpipe
-Crucial Racing Uppipe
-Turbo XS Utec
-Turbo XS Short Ram Intake
-SSAuto TMIC
-GP Moto Intercooler Hose Kit
-OEM STi BOV
-Greddy Evo 2 Catback Exhaust
-TGV Delete
-Greddy Oil Catch Can

I know its a low whp because I have an exhaust leak and the weather was way too hot. I just wanted my car to be running fine again. Once I fix the exhaust leak and the weather cools down, I'll get it redynoed.

dLo's got a point. He just asked a simple question. No need to act like douche ya douche.

Nice numbers for a VF series.

Nice numbers for a VF series.

"not on the road" means that the car is on jack stands and has no suspension; it just idles in the garage...
I would not drive a car with these mods and not a tune. I must hunt down the mechanic with my suspension, he's had it all summer.

I had to drive it with the mods. ran just fine! i did however, try to stay out of boost as much as possible. Drove it for close to an hour.

Not bad for a STI top mount. You'll literally pick up 25+ hp by going to a front mount with those mods and that boost on a dynojet....

so with front mount you run more timing? how will it yield an extra 25hp, thats alot of power.
