Thumbs down Warranty?

I have to take my 03 WRX in to Subaru tomorrow to get a oil leak looked at/fixed. What is/isn't covered under warranty? I only have 20K on her.

I can't tell exactly, but there is oil covering the bottom of the oil pan.

Ah, sounds like you just need a set of OilCovers

j/k Nasioc joke. Seriously though, if they can't prove that the car was "abused" in a way that lead to this, they're obligated to fix it. That's what a warranty is for.

It could be the automatic oil filter tighter, the one that subaru did the recall on!

Well, I was told todat they thought it was the head gasket at first.....but turns out to be the oil pump. Have to wait until thursday to take it back.

I saw a white WRX with black wheels, and a silver STi (getting oil change?) while I was there waiting.

couldn't explain that cause I didn't have the repair order, but I did look at the oil leak when your car was on the lift and it was the oil pump for sure.

What would be the reason the oil pump would leak?

The car is going to be in AZ around Aug., can I expect any problems with the change of climate?
