Default 2010 Chevrolet Agile sketches emerge

Quote:
These are the first official sketches of the 2010 Chevrolet Agile hatchback, a new vehicle based on the Project Viva, which is going to be built at the GM plant in Argentina. The new Agile will be available only for the Brazilian customers although it is not excluded to see this in Europe or the United States. We say this because the car looks amazing! Of course it is only a sketch and we admit the final product will be different but it appears that the final design line will be close to the Chevrolet Cruze and aims an even bigger success that its brother. According to our sources the arrival of the car is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year!

The Astra is bigger than the Fiesta. It's more of a Focus fighter.

That's not gonna happen. The Aveo's replacement is probably gonna be the Spark, and that comes from Korea. This is Brazilian and has more styling similarities with some Opel designs.

Spark.

Default 2010 Chevrolet Agile revealed, will it work as the Aveo replacement?

http://www.egmcartech.com/2009/08/21...o-replacement/

Quote:
General Motors today revealed the first image of the new 2010 Chevrolet Agile for the Brazilian market. Sales in Brazil will begin in October later this year with a 1.0L 4-cylinder engine under the hood.

“The Agile goes beyond a traditional hatchback. Our task was to conduct a vehicle for a demanding client. Great design, interior space and a crossover, ie a car transpired versatility to attract customers from a different urban public or to a surfer who loves the countryside, “said Carlos Barba, General Director of GM Design Mercosur.

Honestly, we’re a bit disappointed by the looks of the new 2010 Agile, especially when compared to the sketches revealed last month.

No word on whether the Agile will provide the basis for the next-generation Aveo in the United States, but we sure hope not. Especially, if it’s looking to compete with the Ford Fiesta

Fugly. GM is becoming irrelevant in this segment.

Only 1.0L? Seems small even for eco standards.

Default Photo Update: 2010 Chevrolet Agile

Quote:
This is the 2010 Chevrolet Agile, a new hatchback that is developed in the most advanced automotive technology center in Brazil . The Agile boasts to possess all the modern global design cues offered by General Motors. Set to enter the compact hatchback market segment, the Agile has advanced exterior and interior design, new technology features and the revolutionary 1.4L (Econo.Flex) engine. There will be two versions available for Brazil (LT and LTZ). For Argentina , there is a choice from three versions (LS, LT and LTZ). What makes the Agile stand out is its crossover-look and an elegant and dynamic profile. The interior design also offers premium quality and comfort, due to the “dual cockpit” design. Under the hood, you can find a 1.4L engine, which produces 102 hp at 6000 rpm when fueled with alcohol and 97 hp when running on gasoline. The Agile’s engine offers a new feature – the “System Zero,” an engine management system designed by GM exclusively for ‘flex fuel’ vehicles. The 2010 Chevrolet Agile will be available in Brazil ,Argentina ,Paraguay and Uruguay

Who the fark are they kidding?!?!?! That thing is truly horrendous.

I have never seen such a crappy looking, poorly built (appearance wise) car. 10 years ago that styling was dated. It just screams cheap and flimsy, regardless of the price tag.

Jesus look at the gap between the tires and fender, what do they have it on like 13" tires? Oh and to the poster who said they are "becoming irrelevant" in this segment, they've been irrelevant in this segment for a long time already

Boring. It doesnt have a 6MT, something I thought as becoming common ground in eco cars.

From the outside it looks cheaply built, then you open the doors and it gets worse.

To leak out a sketch like the red car then release the actual car, I think this is the biggest difference I have ever seen between sketch and real car.

For all you fender gap crybabies. Sorry its not herra frush, but this car will see duty in countries other than the US with worse roads than we have. It needs some suspension travel to survive. Think globally please.
