Why would you want to ban me over this? This is non-subaru news and rumors. This is a new non-subaru car. So Im posting it in the non-subaru forum. I think the current trend of these extreme notch-back wagons is silly. My point was this could be a good looking car w/o the ugly back end. Sounds like I should have posted this in OT or MIAC, so Mods, feel free to move or close as you see fit.

I went to check one out at the dealership the other day and I liked the Lancer sportback Ralliart a lot! Im going to consider getting one 2010 s/b ralliart or 2010 4dr GTI.

I'm considering it simply because it takes care of my checklist of requirements in that it is a performance 4 door hatchback with AWD and a dual-clutch transmission for under $30k. Actually it is the only US car that fills these requirements. Unfortunately, it is ugly. But I'm a Subaru owner after all. What do I care about looks?

Just wish Subaru had a DCT or even one on the horizon.

I have to say I was intrigued by the idea of a wagon Evo. I even drove across town the other day to the Mitsu dealer just for giggles. Of crouse they didnt have any, but they did have 3 nice 08 Evos. I told my brother in law I was looking at EVOs but they were off the list b/c no wagon and he told me about the SportBack. Later that night I googled excitedly only to find the Fugly. Thanks, but no thanks. I'll stick with 10 WRX wagon, it may not be the prettiest subaru (GF8!) but its much better looking than the Sportback.

It may be one of those cars that looks much better in person than in photos, but somehow I doubt it. Anyway if you do get one please post some pics and impressions!

I'm going to lock this because there's already an existing thread where you could've ridiculed the Sportback if you wished. The link is not new news, but feel free to post it in the appropriate thread.

Thanks.
