Question 1997 Legacy GT Warranty

Does anybody know what the power train warranty is for a 97 Legacy GT? I have 92k miles and most likely a blown gasket. I was just hoping it might be under warrantly since I have driven it less than 200 miles since I got it. Thanks for the info!

Josh

It's not under warranty anymore, but I would go back where you bought it and see if they will, at the very least, split the repair cost with you. They should pay for all of it. If you bought it private party you might talk to them about spliting the cost with you. May not get you anywhere, but it never hurts to ask.

Default Splitting the costs

I talked to a lawyer the day after my engine quit and he said that I didn't have any legal recourse given the situation. Luckily the guy I bought it from was a really nice guy and he agreed to pay half of all repairs. Thanks for the info on the warranty though, I appreciate it. See ya.

That's not a bad deal. Most places will agree to pay half, so glad to hear they are doing that for you!

This reminds me.

I wonder if anyone bought that 97 Limited with the Minnam Stage 2 kit that was on Ebay a while back.
