I have a 1994 Honda CBR 600 motorcycle that I am selling for $4,000.
I have had it appraised by 3 separate people, all of which have told me I coule probably get somewhere around $6,000 for it because of the type of bike. It has some cosmetic damage and the forks are slightly bent (doesnt effect the ride at all), several new parts, the carbs were cleaned and it was tuned about 6 months ago, it has a new smoked windshield, 2 new mirrors (only one mirror is on it currently), a new brake petal, a new central fuse, a new piece to the electrical system (cant recall the name right now). Any other questions feel free to ask. I dont currently have any pictures on the computer as I am usually online here when I am at work. If you wish to contact me personally you can either pm me or my cell is 804-306-6009.

I asked the same thing. But the guy that I got to clean the carbs told me that the older CBRs tend to hold their value extrodinarily well. He said I could go another 3 or 4 years and sell it for $3-4,000.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that the bike has less than 20k miles on it. And the tires are in pretty good condition. |

its gong to be really hard to find someone, especially in today's economy, purchase a 15 year old bike, with cosmetic damage, bent forks, and that amount of miles for the price you listed.

I actually have a guy who is determined to buy it but is having trouble getting the money, and have had several other interested parties, everything included. The miles for the year are actually really low from what ive found. but thanks

im gonna be an azz i guess but your smoking something. Please provide some valid proof of its "appraised" value since KBB normally OVERVALUES bikes and I forwarded this to 2 mechanics and 3 avid riders and all haven't stopped laughing.......

The early Fs were more comfortable than most 600s in the yester years but not $5000 comfortable. Especially the gravity-fed models which not too many people would care to rebuilt the carbs or knows how to dial them in, correctly. Maybe the thing to do is go back to your carb cleaning guy and see if he wants it for $4999.99. ![]() You're looking at a very small market for that bike at that price, good luck.. ![]() |

my g/f will give you a swift kick and trade her streetfightered ex500 for it...
from a rider and wrencher, lower your price or your NEVER gonna sell here or any where else. i saw this earlier and laughed my ass off. i restrained. but now its open season. if you got $1500 id throw a party and celebrate. i'll give you $800 cuz of trashed forks HIGH miles for a bike. people sell bikes all the time a year later at half price cuz thats what they are worth. your no different thats not gonna sell at that price. |

That price is high. Especially with the damage. I would recommend doing a little research on Craigslist and Cycle Trader. Your bike may be worth that price, but you have to look at the market and see where it's at. There's 02, 03 CBRs on Craigslist at that price.
To everyone else, this is this dude's thread. If he thinks thats what the bike is worth, let him sell it at that. He'll adjust the price if he needs to after not selling it for a while. Or maybe someone will buy it.... If you are interested and want to harass him on the price because YOU WANT TO ACTUALLY BUY IT, do it via PM. |

Seriously......i want to punt him in the nads. ![]() BTW, I sold an '93 FZR600 with less miles and less damage for $1k, after i bought it for $1500+repairs to pass inspection at the beginning of the same season. If this OP paid anywhere near his asking price outside of 5 years from its build date, he deserves the nad crunch. |
