Default TiC just barely misses winning steak knives at NJMP

Thatís right; Steak knives. See, if you take 4th overall at a Global Time Attack event you win some steak knives, and TiC just barely missed them.

The problem is that the weekend of August 4th and 5th at New Jersey Motorsports Park TiC came in third overall with a pretty quick time of 1:05.9 around the NJMP Lightning course.

In fact, TiC was MUCH closer to the time for winning steak knives than the GST car. Granted it was only the second event for the TiC car for this season after a major rework, and bugs are still being worked out with the active support of our great sponsors, but getting that close to cutlery was an exciting moment for the team.

In response to this herculean effort by the team, and the obviousness of the desire for those steak knives a set was liberated when GTA officials were not looking.

They have been given a good home, and now that the team can eat steak like civil human beings they can get back to the true task of working on the car. There are a number of issues that need to be addressed and many more things that need to be fine tuned, but with help from sponsors and the tenacious do it all attitude of this scrappy team many good things are the horizon.

Turn In Concepts would like to thank the following people that helped make this season and getting steak knives possible.
  • TiCís fans and customers
  • Tony Wiesenhahn for his crazy piloting abilities
  • Dan @ RaceTuned for his outstanding tuning and support
  • Micah @ 3MI Racing for engine development and support
  • Turbo by Garrett for their absolute beast GTX3582R turbocharger
  • Fragola fluid systems for all the great hoses and fittings used throughout the car
  • AEM for their ECU and data logging equipment
  • StopTech for their outstanding big brake kits, and awesome race pads
  • DXD Racing Clutches for their new setup that let us put the power down
  • DeatschWerks for their new 2200cc Bosch EV14 injectors that ran flawlessly
  • Guard Transmissions for their great LSD, consulting and parts support
  • Pure Tuning for some dyno time
  • James Schadler for helping out with some fabrication tasks
  • Our families for putting up with our being gone and being constantly fixated on nothing but the race car.

Car is more than a handful right now. Our suspension is just not at all working as we've outgrown what they are capable of handling.

we are working HARD on finding a solution in time for nasa nationals.
