Default Ken Block moving to Ford/Monster WRC Team

Going to be driving rally spec fiesta:

"Since Subaru, for whom Block competes in the USA, pulled out of the WRC, Ken's been hunting for another ride in the premier series, and reports now indicate that he along with former Subaru driver Chris Atkinson will be driving the 2009-spec Ford Focus WRC for the new Monster Energy Drink World Rally Team (which could, incidentally, go some way towards explaining what the two rally stars were doing behind the wheel of that old Ford Escort). Once the details are hammered out, both Block and Atkinson are expected to start next season in select rounds of the championship before challenging the full calendar the year after, presumably behind the wheel of the new rally-spec Fiesta."

Why is he a sellout? Now you'll have to sell your Subaru and buy a Fiesta?

Clearly you have no idea of Ford's history.

I'd drive a Ford too if I were him. What's the track record for the Focus vs. Impreza? Quite a large difference...

don't worry, there is at least 5 people competent enough to take Ken's spot on Subaru team.
L'estage, Foust, Mancin, Wiktorczyk, Sarazin, Moro, Johnson

Personally, I would put Kyle into factory subaru team. He almost won a rally last year and was often challenging the 1st and 2nd place of Block/Pastrana.

What are you 15??? Who cares what you think. If he wants to do Gymkhana in a Ford I'll gladly watch. It's not like Subaru is an exclussive car of Gymkhana or rally
Good for Ken, he wanted a WRC opportunity and got one. Why would you call some who wants to pursue his goals regardless of brands a sellout??
Oh, wait, you're newbie, this explains a lot

Its not like Ford is brand new to rally either, they have been doing it for a VERY long time. The Focus WRC (driven @ one point by some guy named Colin McRae) was damn competitive the last decade, and does anyone remember the Sierra Cosworth and RS200 cars? harrowwww.

It's bittersweet. Subaru and Block have had a helluva partnership for a while. Subaru made the choice to pull out of WRC, not Block. Honestly, how can anyone blame him?

I'll still drive Subarus, and I'll still watch Block compete in a Focus. My car has about as much in common with his STI as it does with a Fiesta anyway, so I don't see the big deal.

Agreed...is he still going to do Rally America on a limited basis or full-time WRC?
