Post OT: Racing Sponsorship Needed

We are in desperate need of sponsorship.
I won't give you the song and dance so here it is in plain english.
We started World Karting Assoc. modified karting last year. We did ok with 4th place points finishes in 2 different divisions at our home track. This year I have 2 drivers with the oldest doing extremely well(Jr.Sportsman of the Year Award). My drivers have expressed interest in doing the North East Pavement Series Regoinals. These races are throughout New England and New York and Conn. with alot of fast karts. Being a auto technician I am finding myself strapped for cash and having a difficult time keeping my guys fast.

If you would like to sponsor us or know of someone who might, please contact me at jcnowinski@pivot.net (207)627-4650

2 Sprockets Racing-
2 Kart Team
1 Caged Rookie, Merlin 5hp modified engine,Coyote chassis.
1 Jr. Sportsman, Merlin 5hp mod., Phantom chassis.
We are eager to meet our sponsor's needs. No sponsorship too small. Special appearences are our specialty. These karts are cool looking and we are definity enthusiastic.

Thank you

PS: I'd post pictures if someone would PM me with detailed instructions on how to do this.

My boss is big into NASCAR, and he sponsors one sprint car as it is. I will let him know about you and what you race. I am not promising anything, but I will let him know.

Chris,
As an independent AMSOIL dealer, I've already sponsored 3 SCCA ProRally teams this year and can't really directly sponsor any other teams.

If it works for your team, I could cover the cost of signing you up as a preferred customer so that you could get AMSOIL at dealer cost.

Not sure if that would help, but I feel your pain having a race team myself!

e-mail me direct at rovah@mint.net if you're interested.

Cheers! John

So, how's your sponsorship quest going? Any luck?

Yeah, the sad thing is yesterday I was at 2.01 posts per day. Now I'm at 2.06 posts per day. That doesn't sound like much except for the fact that two or three years ago I used to be at 4 or 6 posts per day before I went for a year without posting.

Holy freakin old threads!!! 2001
Um, yeah, my Kids won a championship, 2 runner-up spots, and a 4th for the season. They both have a bedroom full of trophies, some bigger than them. We quit while we were ahead. WKA oval racing is for those with very large wallets.

I still owe the youngest boy a season of racing, he was very good, almost too good, he scared me. He won by taking chances.
The oldest boy was cautous, not very aggressive, took care of equipment. Did well by staying out of trouble.

I remember I PM'd Kris and asked if I could post this before I did.

Werd, awesome to hear! Get 'em trained young I always say. Kids who race and get their aggressions out on the track tend to take it easy on the street.

They were 9 and 7 years old back then.

The good news.
The oldest boy is 14. He wants to try rally-x and hill climbs.

The bad news.
The youngest boy wants a 4-wheeler, and want to do sweet jumps.

The good is always great. The bad is always worse. I've seen way too many kids get injured on ATVs.

He's good at taking things apart.

He's 180lbs tho, he'll need a 125. I bet he'll be more intrigued to drive cars once he's closer to driving age. (3-4 more years)

im 6'2", about 180/185, and have a fiddy, they'll plenty move you at stock bore, then there is always the backyard bore kits (i got the 72cc version) that will let you get out of your own way in a hurry.

honda xr/crf50's are the worlds best selling dirtbikes, and twice as many adults own them than indivuduals the bike it built for (88lb youth rider)
