Question Where's the beep?

When using the keyless entry to lock or unlock the car you'll get one or two beeps accordingly, where is the device that produces that beep? I just can't seem to pinpoint it....

if i hold the unlock and lock buttons on the fob, it will turn that off. the horn is the disk-looking things near the hood latch behind the grille.

That would be the regular horn(s). The beep I'm talking about is more of an electronic type of beep that almost seems to be coming from the driver's side of the engine bay or even the drivers door.

On my 98 LGT and my wifes 99 Impreza L, it's a plastic speaker on the passengers front strut tower. It's ~3" OD and 5" long.
