Default octane choice

the owners manuel in my sti says to only use 93 octane and to use 91 octane temporarily if there is no 93 available. as i live in cali very very few places carry 93 and as there is none around me i actually found this VP fuel gas station that has 100 octane so what ive been doing is going 60%/40% on 91/100 octane. what do you guys think about this idea is it good ? better? or bad? and what do you think my octane rating is at that mix?

91 is fine..just like scott said get tune for it.
but if you had the funds get water/meth injection.
water cools intake charge
methanol bumps 93 to 108~114..depending on mix ratios

Stick with a tune for 91. Research meth and mixing fuels for a good long time before you make a decision.

Lots of STI's are sold in areas where 93 doesn't even exist, not an option without driving 300+ miles one way to fill gas!

Obviously your first run in with him. He's an ass everywhere he goes, but he does usually know what he's talking about.
