Revenge of the Carrera GT?

See more pics of the Porsche concept
Straight off the bat, this isn't an official Porsche concept. Sorry.

It's a hypothetical Porsche supercar from Iranian designer Emil Baddal, and we reckon the guys in Zuffenhausen could do worse than take a bit of inspiration from our Persian friend.

They're hardly on a hot design streak at the moment, are they? The 911 is fine, but they pretty much got that one nailed back in the mid-60s, while the Cayenne remains a visual abomination and the Panamera hasn't exactly wowed aesthetes since its introduction earlier this year.

OK, those side scoops might be a bit much - according to Top Gear's scientific calculations, you could lose an entire child down there - but we're loving the high-haunched side profile and the mad diffuser-filled rear end. Kinda Veyron... but more so.

The reality of a Porsche hypercar might not be so far away. Back in May, we reported rumours that Porsche might be creating a road-going version of its Le Mans winning RS Spyder, effectively the successor to the Carrera GT.

There has still been no official word from Porsche on the rumours, but we're keeping our fingers crossed. And if you fancy making it look just a little bit like this, gents, we'll be plenty happy

So not even a good looking model.

This guy needs to learn CAD design.

Wait until you see his Porsche spaceship, that one is in crayon, though.

I hate concept designs. I wholeheartedly believe that deep down the designers who create such outlandish concepts really wish they were working for Hot Wheels.

So you really hate all concept cars? Every concept car youve ever seen is a "concept design". I know what you mean though. However, being a design student myself I can honestly say that this doesnt quite qualify as "design". Some kid who knows CAD scribbled a car on the tablecloth with a crayon at the Macaroni Grill and decided to build a model of it. How this thing made its way onto the internet is beyond me. His dad must know someone who works for Top Gear or some crap... And yes, car designers love designing cars for Hotwheels! But This guy could never get a job designing Hotwheels

Words can't describe the fail in that design.

That goes for most concept car drawings as far as I am concerned. I refuse to get excited about anything but a rolling full scale model. Do not show me a drawing some design school wonderboy did with a set of watercolors and markers and call it a concept car. They have no basis in reality.
