Good

In that case, I would ditch the SSAC FMIC (at least the core), and you may have issues with the EBCS and EWG (some do, some don't). Any reason you didn't go rotated?

Everything that came together the ATP GT35r was not really planned but I got a great deal. I got the turbo for total $1600 NOT from ATP indirectly. The FR stuff has been discounted lately and I can not resist half price.

EFI helped out on what they think I should throw in the build. People out there that have the SSAC unit know its value for the dollar and if you can get it for less than $300 shipped to your door you beat me. I have it in my garage and it looks good right into the fins IN the core. I have been in touch with people running decent hp on this FMIC and they say VALUE.

I wonder how many out there right now with this approximate set-up stock block 400realwhp DD etc. with the SSAC?

I would have gone rotated if I was shelling out the cash for fullrace.

Pricing is about half what it was but you don't have to tell anyone you got it at a discount. If you want put it on P&L kit or better yet have FR put together something nice.

Huge props to Geoff Raicer who advised me into this build
You see that turbo is Geoff's tester slightly used HA and his EWG and also a dump tube he generously donated off a 1200 whp SUPRA...so its not your ordinary bolt on ATP GT35r. You got to love the design of this turbo with the EWG fitting right into the housing. Also my dealings with ATP have been awesome they are very nice and knowledgeable people. Linda at ATP shipped me a steel flange to swap out the aluminum one they shipped by mistake-- overnight. I was on the phone with her 8pm Eastern and the next day at 10am I had the part in my hand..way to go.

great to see the build coming along, thanks for the plugs

+1 another vote for the crew at ATP they are quality people with great turbos. The ATP 30R and ATP 35R i believe to be the best turbos on the market for stock location subarus, we sell a bunch of them!

Maybe he was on a heartbreaker dyno, maybe he has a really conservative tune, or maybe the FMIC was holding him back, you can decide for yourself. Those are regular 30r numbers, HTA 35r should be WAY higher.

number number numbers

on a airboys/ mustang dyno a 35R setup will not make more than 400-430whp on pump 21-22psi. the HTA will decrease the spool up time but it will not add power.

OP why you didn't go with the Rotated full-race ki?t, you are really close to it as far as money goes.

My car was a night and day difference when I swapped from a SSAC FMIC to a custom FMIC with a garrett IC core and 3" piping. But I also switched to a bigger/better uppipe and added headers. Still though, I think the IC core that comes with the SSAC kit is crap.

Yes, 400-430 on pump, much more than that on meth
Also, 35r = 65 lb/min, HTA3586 = 75 lb/min. A 75 lb/min turbo only hitting 420whp on pump gas and meth is pathetic. That's 30r territory, and a 30r is only a 52 lb/min turbo. That's like getting 230whp on a 20g

Sure, but I wouldn't try to push 500whp through the stock STi TMIC either

I am pretty sure he has the HTA3582, HTA3586 is completely different animal. If he is running the the HTA86 I agree with you 100%

he made 420whp on pure 93oct
