Default Trim Piece Falling Off - Window Trim Hanging

Hey Guys,

Today when I went out to my car I saw the rubber seal/trim piece hanging down from the rear door. I'm not sure what the name of the piece is or how to fix it, but I snapped a picture of it while it was hanging down.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem and if I need a part, can someone advice me as to what it is?

Thanks,

Mike

I'd hit it with some Gorilla Glue. What happened with me is the piece to the left of your arm, the hard plastic trim piece always kept popping out on me after a couple miles, the clip was either used or never really worked in the first place. Fixed it with a dab of Gorilla Glue behind it.

Same thing happened to me.

I took a couple of the screws holding that chrome piece off to allow some movement and made sure that I placed the rubber trim back on the chrome piece appropriately.

Wasnt too hard.

IMO-No parts needed. It is a normal reaction to what ever climate our cars are faced with .

Yes,but with some double sided rhino tape from home depot.
It is a bit pricey, but damned well worth it.

Mine went off on my drivers side around the 3rd month of ownership.
It was embarrassing as hell.I was at a DIY car wash when it started to fall, with every attempt I made to push it back in, it would fall off even more.

Then I used the double sided rhino tape for vinyl.
2 types 1 is for carpet,1 is for vinyl.
Both priced @ $10 per role.

I have this same exact problem, same door, same exact spot. I first noticed when I went through an automatic no-touch car wash and my backseat and door panel came out soaked. Wasn't happy. I have tried pushing it in but it won't stay so it looks like I'll have to try the suggestions above.

Thanks!

I'm gonna glue mine cause this happened to both passenger and driver rear AND my passenger front on my 05. Its quite embarrassing when I have friends in the car and the damn thing starts falling apart.

On my way back from Mach V my passanger side trim flew off. It was pretty embarrasing, but it was easy to fix. I just used super glue (maybe not the best glue) and stuck it right back where it went! No problems since.
