Default left over 09 STI, what should I pay?

It's been sitting outside for a while, got them to 35,800 but I can't afford it. How low do you think they might go?

What can you afford? Make them an offer, if they turn it down, come in each day for 30 days with the same offer. If its reasonable and you're persistant they just might break down and give it to you for that price. A neighbor of mine did that with a Maxima... they asked her not to come back again

I would say realistically 3000-3500 off of that sticker. I work for a deal I could find invoice on that if you really needed but in all honesty dont they deserve to make a buck?

talk to their salesmanager and see what he will do.. NO matter what the car has a COST. They wont just give it away as it is a hold over.

This.

Buy a used 05-08, do a thorough inspection including compression/leakdown tests.

Go during mid December and the bigger the dealer the better. The guy incharge of your sales would care less if he gets commissions from the sale so might go as low as he can just to get another sale slapped on his yearly quota. My dad got his lexus 5k less then what the dealer told him 3 months before. Some sales guys just want to get the extra sale added to list to get a better position. Come with a friend who is also "intrested" so the guy would think he might get 2 sales.

Just out of curosity. How old are you. If the 33-35,000 is high, you are really going to love the insurance premiums. RP
