Question Kansas City dealers

Hi,

I have decided to buy a WRX within the next 2 weeks. I am getting pre-approved from the bank so that I don't have to worry about financing through the dealership.

I went to get good prices by trying Autoweb.com and Dealerinovice.com. Both of these websites directed me to Jack Miller (in Olathe and North Kansas City) for a "low price, no haggle" quote. As I discovered, these are the only dealerships in the KC area. Their quote was 24,900 on a WRX Sedan with a spoiler and turbo boost gauge. I was very upset at this quote, as it was $1800 above invoice. After talking with the dealer for 5 minutes over the phone he went down to 24,500 (and acting like he wasn't going to make any money). That is still $1300 above invoice.

Anyway, I am looking to purchase the car at $500 above invoice. I was wondering if anybody has dealt with any good salespeople within the Jack Miller dealerships, or with any bad ones that I could avoid talking too. If they won't give me the deal I want, I will either look to going to St. Louis or Omaha, or get a different vehicle. So I would also like to hear of any good experiences in Omaha or St. Louis.

I would appriciate any advice in helping me get the car I want.

Thanks.

Jack Miller was great. Could not find what I wanted at a reasonable price in St. Louis, one local dealer was advertising invoice if it was not in stock. After ordering and waiting and waiting, I challenged some dealers to come close to the price.
None would, one guy didn't want to sell one of his 5 WRX's because then "I would only have 4". Went through the internet to Jack Miller and delt with their internet person, told him I had a car ordered but was tired of waiting and we struck a deal over the phone on Friday and I picked it up in KC on Saturday. Shinny blue w/sound, premium, spoiler, shifter and $500 over invoice. Everyone was great, they were ready for me, but I can find any names.

Try dropping a PM to Peaty. He's in Lawrence, and has a dealer that he's bought a couple of cars from. I think he recommends them pretty highly, and I'm sure he'd be glad to give you more information.

I bought a Subaru WRX from Jack Miller in Olathe, KS yesterday. They have been trying to get me to come in all week to test drive a car, and I finally went in on the last day of the month. Apparently they needed to sell two more cars to meet there quota for the month. I wasn't expecting them to offer me a good price on the car, but they did. I ended up buying the car for 116$ over invoice, which I thought was an amazing deal. That was with no haggling, but having to sit around the showroom for quite a while. My salesperson was Christian, so if you want to try to get a WRX in the Kansas City area, you should talk to him. He said he was the only Subaru Performance rep in the Kansas City area.

Now, I have to painfully break in my car for 1,000 miles.....

Default bought mine from Jack Miller yesterday

Just thought I'd let you know that Jack Miller gave me $500 over invoice without too much difficulty. My invoice from carpoint was a touch lower than his invoice apparently. I was preparing to go 23000 on an invoice of 22638. Got it for 23217. Sticker was 24738. They won't have many left at this years pricing. Just go in and be firm. If they don't give you 500 over invoice or less, walk out. Trust me, they won't let you. I dealt with Jonathan, nice kid, tried to exaggerate a little though.
