Im planning to do an engine swap for my 2.5rs once the miles on my current engine gets a little too high. I just brought a used 2000 2.5rs with like, 50020 miles on it. I just want to know where i can find an EJ20DE-T engine or EJ20DE-TT. Please help, thanks.

DE-T or DE-TT. Well, the Nissan guys might know a little more about those, but we can probably help with the EJ20 part of it.
Most engines that have been swapped so far have come out of wrecked WRX's, which seem to be getting wrecked left and right. Some guys sell them for more than others, it just depends if the owner knows what he's selling or not. Graham |

have fun fitting an EJ20tt into your car and still keeping your steering wheel.

hey, EJ20 is just the base name of the engine. when u say ej20, it basically means stock, not turbo. ED20DET is the 227 hp wrx engine. SR20DET the for the s14 nissan silvia. i got the engine names from a guy who sells engines. just to let u know.

Sorry no ED series motors with Subaru
EJ18 EJ20 EJ22 EJ25 EA82 and whatever the six bangers are. Are just a few of the many motors. But all current motors in H-4 trim are EJ series. |

I suggest you go read about John Felstead's last trip to the Nurburg Ring, in a non turbo EJ20.

all these posts and not one answered his question... ease up on the guy eh...
yo i suggest you wait for some fool to crash his wrx and get the engine.. its would be a lot cheaper then importing or whatever... have you done your research tho? or do you have someone to help you with the swap... should be a lot of good tuners there... |

The JDM NA performance 2 liter has marginally more HP than our cars. They have higher compression, a higher redline, and run the fancy pants valve timeing system.
We might get them off the line, we won't get far and they will probably roll past. On a road course it will probably be faster if they did a good job on the gearing. cheeRS, Greg |

Nippon is wrong, it happens, they deal with tons of engines, they are not Subaru experts.

If you want an engine from Japan, specify whether or not you want an EJ20-K (closed deck, 1997 and prior), EJ20-G (newer engines, open deck), or even an STi engine! It all depends on how much money you want to spend. Graham |
