Default Congrats to Yamaha

Yesterday, Ben Spies won the World superbike championship on a Yamaha as a rookie to the series. Also, Valentino Rossi won his 9th world title in Moto GP (his 4th with Yamaha) with one round remaining on the schedule. They also won the World SX championship, British superbikes, French Superbikes, World Supersport (600cc's ) World endurance, Mx1 GP, Emx1. Pretty much any form of motorcycle racing's premier classes were dominated by Yamaha. Not bad for a piano manufacturer, huh?

If anyone has any questions about which brand to buy if they are gonna go racing.....

They also just released their new 2010 YZ450F. This is one radical dirtbike...rearward facing cylinder, fuel injection from the front of the bike, snail shaped exhaust pipe from the rear of the engine, gas carried under the seat for low center of gravity, etc, etc, etc,

This bike is a new paradigm for motocross.

*Preens* Not that I contributed to any of their victories, but I'm still proud to ride a Yamaha. They've been my favored brand since I first considered motorcycles as a kid.

Combining their fantastic bikes, a constant amount of R&D, and the skills of some amazing riders has given them an awesome year.

I can't wait to take the keys on my R1 next year.

And yeah - I got their announcement email a few weeks ago about the new 450F. While I'm not anything close to a motocross rider, I can still see the immediate potential of that bike; as usual Yamaha is out there redefining the edge.
