2009 Lincoln MKS by Raceskinz coming to SEMA

Quote:
At this year’s SEMA Show, Ford wil also bring Lincoln, the brand which is synonymous with luxury and the first project will be the 2009 Lincoln MKS by Raceskinz. This new project tries to introduce carbon fiber as the new chrome and the manufacturer, in this case Raceskinz, says that this material has been used in the roof overlay, the side door moldings, the rear diffuser accent, mirror covers, trunk accent, antenna cover, license plate frame, fog light bezel and rear spoiler accent. Also the interior received the same material in the dash trim kit, door panel accents and custom rear center console. Raceskinz also used the carbon fiber on the wheel rims and exhaust tips. The car comes in a pearlescent white finish which adds a plus of sportivity. “Carbon fiber is to us what chrome was to our previous generation. The carbon fiber is very strategically placed.” said Tirrelle Lazada-Smith, co-owner of Raceskinz

Default Ford to unveil custom Mustangs at SEMA

Quote:
Ford Motor Co. will showcase a stable of ponies at next week's Specialty Equipment Market Association show in Las Vegas.

The premiere aftermarket trade show, SEMA features displays by thousands of businesses that develop performance parts, body kits, wheels and other equipment for cars and trucks after they're initially sold.

Ford, the title sponsor of the 2009 show, has worked with a number of partner companies to create Mustangs ranging from a second-generation Boy Racer by 3dCarbon to a 550-horsepower Mustang GT convertible by Galpin Auto Sports. There is also a one-of-a-kind 1934 three-window coupe that features Ford's all new EcoBoost V-6 engine under the hood.

"SEMA is important to Ford," said Brian Wolfe, director of Ford Racing. "It's not only about making great cars, but for those enthusiasts who want to take their cars beyond what manufacturers build."

The show also allows Ford and other carmakers a chance to showcase new vehicles, such as the redesigned 2010 Mustang, the 2010 Transit Connect, 2010 Taurus and the soon-to-debut Ford Fiesta.

Ford will have a test track to let people drive the 2011 Fiesta during the show. Ford will have 75 official vehicles on display -- though other customizers may feature Ford vehicles on their displays as well. Chrysler Group LLC also will show off four Mopar tweaked vehicles at the show: a 556-horsepower Dodge Challenger, a Jeep Wrangler that transforms into a mobile campsite, a luxury Dodge Ram 1500 and an extreme Jeep Wrangler with 40-inch tires.

The custom carmakers work closely with manufacturers to create different themed cars, said Melvin Bettencourt, design manager at Ford Racing who has worked with many of the groups.

That cooperation often pays off as these businesses become among the first to offer aftermarket body kits and accessories, said Jamie Allison, Ford's manager at Ford Racking Technology.

According to SEMA officials, the aftermarket business last year amounted to $31.8 billion.

The show runs from Nov. 3 through Nov. 6.

Default 2010 Ford Taurus SHO by Mobsteel

http://www.4wheelsnews.com/sema-prev...o-by-mobsteel/

Quote:
Ford expects to make quite a buzz with its customized vehicles at this year’s SEMA Show and it appears the 2010 Mustang will not be the only star from Las Vegas, because Mobsteel is going to reveal its custom 2010 Ford Taurus SHO. The Mobsteel Taurus SHO is completely blacked out and this include the body, windows, even the wheel lips. The only features in brushed aluminum finish are the wheel centers and badging. Besides these, the car rides on massive 22-inch Mobsteel forged two-piece wheels and super-low-profile Pirelli PZero Nero tires. And this is not the only surprise: the Magnaflow Performance cat-back exhaust and JL Audio equipment transform the Taurus SHO into a bad boy.

Details and pics after the break.

From Ford Press Release:

Azentek and Grant Products teamed up to build this unique "Travel Inn" Ford Transit Connect van. Designed for people who are always on the go, it comes complete with the Azentek in-vehicle computing and navigation radio, and a Concept DVD for watching movies.

You can cook while tailgating with your mini pull-out kitchen and even sleep in complete comfort in the upper bunk bed. You also will drive in style with the Grant Products body kit, race-inspired steering wheel and GAC interior. The vehicle features 18-inch BBS wheels with a Winona PVD chrome finish and Bridgestone Firestone tires.

2010 Ford Transit Connect by Ford Vehicle Personalization

This 2010 Transit Connect was developed by the Ford Vehicle Personalization team and it features Genuine Ford Accessories, Ford Licensed Accessories and various personalization concepts. Inspired by West Coast beaches, the vehicle is presented in a soft anodized Metallic Gold exterior paint with a large energetic side graphic depicting young people playing sports and having fun on the beach. Various racks and carriers on the exterior secure your favorite outdoor gear.

The interior is the main focus of this custom Transit Connect, showcasing the flexibility of space in the cargo area and the ability to create a realm of personal use around this vehicle rather than strictly commercial/business usage. Shown with two seats, the cargo area will house an audio wall with a custom audio/video system, a skateboard rack displaying four skateboards and a rear-mounted LCD flip-out flat-screen monitor with video game console.

2010 Ford Edge "RallyE" by Santini Paint

Santini Paint, combined with the talent of Steve Stanford Design, has taken the Ford Edge crossover to a level of design utilizing influence from the old-school British racing era, tuner cars and a little rally car, so that this "soccer mom" grocery-getter becomes the "cool" car for the family.

With a few inches out of the suspension, the big wheel and tire combination, 3dCarbon body kit, British Racing Green color and an asymmetrical competition stripe paint scheme with some interior accents added in, Santini's Ford Edge becomes a "Coolover."

2009 Ford Focus by FSWerks

In its constant search for more power, the FSWerks crew has taken a 2009 Ford Focus Coupe and pushed it to the edge. Utilizing many years of racing, fabricating and powertrain experience, this transformed Ford Focus is now pushing more than 500 horsepower, making it one serious track Focus.

2009 Ford Focus by Creations n' Chrome

Creations n' Chrome has taken green technology to the extreme with its 2009 Ford Focus. The exterior starts with an outrageous green chrome finish using Cosmichrome water-based spray-on plating technology, 3dCarbon Euro Series six-piece body kit and lightweight Work Emotion wheels. To increase engine efficiency and aerodynamics, an FSWerks turbo kit and H&R coil-over suspension are added. The interior was custom refinished from top to bottom with House of Color paint and custom Katzkin leather.

2010 Ford Flex by Falken Tire

Breaking the mold of cookie-cutter project vehicles on oversized chrome rims, Falken Tire has envisioned the perfect blend of traditional "lowrider" styling and a 2010 platform while utilizing today's finest full-size CUV, the Ford Flex. Rolling on 22-inch Falken S/TZ04 tires and wire- spoke Dayton wheels, this ride will surely earn the respect of everyone from old-school purists to new-age tuners. Break the mold and Flex Your Style

Default SEMA 2009 Preview: Ford throws 400-hp twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost in a ‘34 Ford hot rod

Quote:
Hot-rodders love loud and powerful engines. Well, next week at the 2009 SEMA show, Ford Powertrain and Detroit Street Rods will make an attempt to prove that the thinking that more cubic inches result in higher-performance is “out-of-date” and will throw in Ford’s EcoBoost in a 1934 Ford 3-Window Coupe hot rod. The move will be the “first” rear-wheel-drive application of an EcoBoost V6.

The 3.5L twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost in the 1934 Ford hot rod will be tuned to produce 400-hp with a maximum torque of 400 lb-ft.

“EcoBoost technology shows that there is a viable replacement for displacement,” said Dan Kapp, director of Ford Powertrain Research and Advanced Engineering. “As consumers’ demand for fuel efficiency continues to grow, and our commitment to delivering best-in-class fuel economy remains steadfast, it’s important to show that performance does not need to suffer as a result.”

Ford said that the first production rear-wheel-drive 3.5L EcoBoost V6 model will launch next year in the Ford F-150, followed by a 2.0L 4-cylinder in 2011 for the Falcon in Australia.

Click through for the press release.
1934 Ford Hot Rod with 400-hp 3.5L twin-turbo EcoBoost V6:

Press Release:
SEMA ‘09: ‘34 FORD HOT ROD ‘REPLACES DISPLACEMENT’ IN FAVOR OF 400-HP 3.5L TWIN-TURBO ECOBOOST V-6

* Ford Powertrain, Detroit Street Rods and Experi-metal team up to showcase classic ‘34 Ford 3-Window Coupe hot rod boasting “first” rear-wheel-drive application of EcoBoost™ V-6

* The first production rear-wheel-drive 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 model launches next year in the Ford F-150, followed by a 2.0-liter I-4 in 2011 for the Falcon in Australia

* Dan Kapp, director of Ford Powertrain Research and Advanced Engineering, joins SEMA’s “Driving Green” technology briefing on Tuesday, Nov. 3 to discuss the subject of green performance and EcoBoost’s potential as the “replacement for displacement”

DEARBORN, Mich., Oct. 28, 2009 – Hot rodders have always lived by the motto “There’s no replacement for displacement,” indicating that the more cubic inches an engine has, the better the resulting performance. Ford Powertrain and Detroit Street Rods are out to prove that thinking out-of-date with their EcoBoost™-powered ‘34 Ford hot rod.

To be introduced at this year’s Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show, the Ford hot rod will be the “first” rear-wheel-drive application of the 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V-6 delivering an estimated 400 horsepower and 400 ft.-lb. of torque – power numbers that easily rival a typical hot rod’s 302-cubic-inch V-8 or even a modern-day V-8 of similar size.

“Hot rod builds provide blank canvases for SEMA member companies and SEMA is uniquely positioned to demonstrate that horsepower and green power can coexist without sacrificing performance or the cool factor,” said John Waraniak, SEMA vice president of Vehicle Technology. “This ‘34 EcoBoost hot rod is a fantastic example of modern green technology being applied in a manner that any performance enthusiast would love.”

The EcoBoost family of engines uses turbocharging and direct injection technology to deliver up to 20 percent better fuel economy and up to 15 percent fewer CO2 emissions versus larger-displacement engines.

“The beauty of EcoBoost is that it enables us to downsize for fuel efficiency, yet boost for power,” said Kapp. “We’re able to decrease the size of the available engine – such as installing a V-6 versus a V-8 – yet boost the power using turbocharging to deliver similar power and torque to that larger engine.”

The first EcoBoost engine, a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6, launched this year on the 2010 Ford Taurus SHO and Flex and on the Lincoln MKS and Lincoln MKT. The EcoBoost V-6 produces 355 horsepower (365 hp in the Taurus SHO) and 350 ft.-lb. of torque.

Ford has recently announced the first four-cylinder EcoBoost engines, launching in global applications beginning next year. The 1.6-liter EcoBoost I-4 first arrives in Europe, followed by the 2.0-liter EcoBoost I-4 launching on products in both Europe and North America.

Going forward, Ford will shift its powertrain strategy to be built around EcoBoost technology. Under the new system:
* A 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 would replace naturally aspirated V-8 engines
* A 2.0-liter EcoBoost I-4 would replace naturally aspirated V-6 engines
* A 1.6-liter EcoBoost I-4 would replace naturally aspirated large I-4 engines

Following the launches of the new EcoBoost I-4s will be the extension of the 3.5-liter V-6 to the first rear-wheel-drive configuration in the F-150 pickup truck late next year. Another global application, the Ford Falcon sedan in Australia, will receive a rear-wheel-drive version of the 2.0-liter EcoBoost I-4 in 2011.

The fun-to-drive nature of EcoBoost engines is leading Ford to introduce these fuel-saving powertrains in large volumes virtually across its lineup. For example, by 2013 more than 90 percent of Ford’s North American lineup will be available with EcoBoost technology, and nearly 80 percent of Ford’s global nameplates will have an available EcoBoost option.

By 2013, global EcoBoost volume throughout the Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicle family is expected to be 1.3 million units, with up to 750,000 sales coming from North America alone.

‘34 Ford EcoBoost hot rod project
Detroit Street Rods’ latest build is a 1934 Ford and is a joint venture with Ford Motor Company and Experi-metal. In this ‘34 application, the EcoBoost engine is configured for rear-wheel drive and is coupled with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission.

“The decision to use the EcoBoost engine for our powertrain on this project was an easy one in that it gave us the opportunity to combine the iconic ‘34 Ford sculpted body lines with the advanced technology of the EcoBoost powerplant,” stated Robert Smith, president of Detroit Street Rods. “The result is the perfect hot rod marriage of advanced technology for power and legendary automobile design.”

While the stock Honeywell turbochargers that drive the EcoBoost engine are used, they were repackaged to fit the engine bay of this all-steel replica body. The engine configuration and turbocharger packaging was dynamometer tested by Ford Powertrain for proper calibration of the engine electronic control module (ECM). In addition to the all-stock engine, other components including the fuel pump, ECM, fuel pump module, fuel pump processor and drive-by-wire throttle were utilized in their original production configuration.

The body is from Steve’s Auto Restoration and is the recently released 1934 Ford 3-Window coupe. The complete body and fenders are from brand-new tooling, and are designed, stamped and manufactured by Experi-metal in Sterling Heights, Mich. This “replica” ‘34 features all-steel construction, full fenders, running boards, electronic power windows, air conditioning and custom bumpers.

The engine was repackaged and fitted with an engine plate adapter to mate with an aluminum flywheel, performance clutch and a Tremec TKO five-speed transmission.

The turbochargers were repositioned to the front of the cylinder heads and custom aluminum tubing was used to route the air from the custom air cleaner through the air-to-air intercooler. The exhaust gases are routed from the cylinder heads through coated headers, through the stock wastegates, and pass through large custom exhaust cones located outside the engine bay and just above the front fenders.

Default 2010 Lingenfelter Chevrolet Camaro SS

Quote:
Let’s cut to the chase here: Lingenfelter has supercharged a Chevrolet Camaro SS to the tune of 750 hp, 324 more than the stock vehicle.
The extra cojones come in part from of a Lingenfelter-tuned LS7 (read: Corvette Z06), which uses new forged pistons to yield an 8.8:1 compression ratio. The addition of a Magnuson/Eaton supercharger to the Lingenfelter LS7, however, is responsible for the bulk of the power increase. The company also adds a heavy-duty fuel system, a new twin-disc clutch and flywheel assembly, and beefier rear axles to support the power gains.
Numerous suspension changes are intended to keep all that power on the road, including Hotchkis springs, anti-roll bars, and subframe bracing; Sachs adjustable shocks; and custom 20-inch wheels with Pirelli tires. The Camaro receives a lower front fascia with splitter, a hood with heat extraction louvers, a carbon-fiber grille insert, deeper side skirts, a new rear spoiler, and new quad exhaust tips. Lingenfelter also adds a new steering wheel, machined aluminum pedals, Lingenfelter floor mats and seat embroidery, and a new rearview mirror that includes a video display—presumably for a backup camera.
Lingenfelter’s effort should be a quarter-mile scorcher—watch for it at the 2009 SEMA show

Default 2010 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet unveiled at SEMA Show

Quote:
The world debut of the limited edition Mustang Cobra Jet was successfully accomplished at the SEMA Show. The new Cobra Jet is a factory-built race car that is intended for NHRA Stock and Super Stock racing.

The 2010 CJ has all the features of the 2008 model plus several modifications that include options for a full race-prepared automatic or manual transmission, drag race-specific shocks and springs, manual steering and brakes, 8.50 certified rollcage, and an Aeromitive return-style fuel system with trunk-mounted fuel cell.

The Cobra Jet will be built alongside the 2010 Mustang at the Auto Alliance International (AAI) assembly plant in Flat Rock, Mich. , starting January 2010. Only 50 units of the new Cobra Jet will be produced.

Press release:

“Since its victorious introduction at the NHRA Winternationals in 1968, Ford’s Cobra Jet Mustang has created a legacy of power, performance and triumph.
The 40th Anniversary 2008 Cobra Jet Mustang lived up to the legend of the original, duplicating the NHRA Winternationals victory in 2009 and dominating drag strips across the land.

Today, Ford Racing unveiled the 2010 Cobra Jet Mustang at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show, which marks the continued evolution of the CJ as a factory-produced turnkey race car. In honor of the SEMA introduction, Ford Racing built and unveiled a one-of-a-kind “SEMA Special” silver Cobra Jet complete with a charcoal Cobra Jet graphics package.

“The 2008 Cobra Jet was a great car, it did everything we wanted it to do,” said Brian Wolfe, director, Ford North American Motorsports. “We’re really proud of the car, but then again we’re always trying to make the next one better.
“With the 2010 Cobra Jet, we had the luxury of a longer development cycle and the result is absolutely stunning.

Where the 2008 Cobra Jet was an extremely potent starting point for NHRA Stock competition, the 2010 will enhance the car further. We are all excited to see the new Cobra Jet in competition.”

For decades, the Mustang has been the preeminent car in many forms of racing, including drag racing. The 2008 Cobra Jet Mustang added to that legacy this season with high- profile wins at the NHRA Winternationals and U.S. Nationals, and by setting numerous track records across the country.

The 2010 Cobra Jet, like its predecessor, is a factory-built race car that is intended for NHRA Stock and Super Stock racing. The goal for the 2010 Cobra Jet was to enhance the race features to further make its own place in NHRA history.

The 2010 CJ will come with all of the features of the 2008 car with enhancements that include options for a full race-prepared automatic or manual transmission, drag race-specific shocks and springs, manual steering and brakes, 8.50 certified rollcage, and an Aeromitive return-style fuel system with trunk-mounted fuel cell.

Additionally Ford Racing engineers have developed for the 2010 Cobra Jet a factory-first launch control/rev limiter that will allow drivers to preset the rpm after they stage the car. When they are ready to leave, all they do is put the throttle pedal to the floor; they don’t have the engine speed to free rev. Previously, the launch control/rev limiter was only available as an aftermarket option.

Much like Ford Racing’s previous Mustang FR500S race car, the Cobra Jet Mustang will get its start at the Auto Alliance International (AAI) assembly plant in Flat Rock, Mich. The entire 50-car run of 2010 Cobra Jets will be built on the same production line that produces the 2010 Ford Mustang production car. Production of Cobra Jets will commence in January, with delivery of all vehicles expected in the first quarter of 2010.

All of the additional parts and pieces for the CJ can be found in the Ford Performance Parts catalog. And since the Cobra Jet is produced from a base V-6 Mustang, any consumer can turn his Mustang into a Cobra Jet by purchasing the parts from the Ford Performance Parts catalog.

The 2010 CJ car features a choice for customers between two supercharged engines or three normally aspirated engines (pending NHRA approval). These options will allow the Cobra Jet to be eligible for more classes in the NHRA, as well as competition with other sanctioning bodies, including NMRA, NMCA, PSCA and IHRA.

All 50 of the 2010 Cobra Jet Mustangs have already been ordered by Ford dealers for delivery to customers. For those customers who missed out on the limited run of 2010 Cobra Jets, Ford Racing has set a goal to provide future versions of the Cobra Jet.”

SEMA 2009: Toyota Prius Aerius Concept

11/03/2009, 9:27 PM

Toyota’s popular Prius hasn’t been a hot vehicle for customizers, but that could all change with increased interest in highly-efficient green technologies, as Toyota’s Prius Aerius concept shown at the 2009 SEMA Show in Las Vegas shows.

The Aerius, which means “belonging to the air” in Latin, was customized by Five Axis to add a few eco-friendly features and emphasize the overall earth-friendly image Toyota seeks for the hybrid.

Nippon Color Design Studio America’s three-coat sky blue sets off the Prius Aerius’ exterior. A unique body kit and 19-inch alloy wheels (covered with clear covers to reduce drag) help maximize economy, too.

Inside, the Prius Aerius gets recycled polyster fabric and accents created with reclaimed birch branches.
Don’t expect the Prius Aerius to make production, but its name could be used on a future Toyota model and some of the special styling touches no doubt preview a future industry of efficiency-oriented aftermarket accessories.

I've never been a fan of muscle cars, but that Challenger looks very cool.

The Corvette looks okay although I would've kept the rear taillights with their signature circles, and the hood is a little too busy. Plus, calling a Corvette a "GTR" seems strange, just call it a Z06R or something. Other than that it looks pretty cool.

Default Adding lightness with Seibon at SEMA

he already light Lotus Elise loses a few more pounds with even lighter carbon fiber

Quote:
Most car guys know that carbon fiber is lightweight (and very cool looking), but most don't know much past that. We stopped by well known carbon fiber manufacturer Seibon's booth at the 2009 SEMA Show to get the skinny on this miracle material.

The term "carbon fiber" can be used to describe microscopically thin fibers composed mostly of carbon atoms, the yarns composed of those fibers, or the fabric woven from that yarn. For our purposes, the term will be used to describe composite materials created from carbon fabric suspended in resin or plastic.

Carbon fiber parts are considerably more lightweight than similar parts made of metal, but can be just as strong (or stronger). Low weight plus high strength make carbon fiber a good material for aerospace and racing applications. Since most good racing technologies eventually trickle down to consumer applications, we're seeing more and more carbon on the road today.

According to Seibon, there are two major types of carbon fiber, wet and dry.

Wet carbon fiber is the gloss type that most consumers are used to seeing. It's made by hand laying sheets of carbon fabric on to a mold between brushed on layers of resin, which is then cured.

Dry carbon fiber is pre-impregnated with resin (and is also known as pre-preg carbon). The carbon sheets are formed in a vacuum mold under high heat and pressure, which causes the resin to flow evenly and completely through the formed part with little or no waste. Dry carbon parts are both lighter and stronger than their wet counterparts because they contain less excess resin with fewer imperfections. However, because of the complex vacuum molding required in their creation, dry carbon parts are also more expensive.

Carbon fiber is lighter, but what's the point? Well simply put, removing weight (or more accurately removing mass) from a vehicle also means that the vehicle's inertia has also been reduced, which means better acceleration, braking, and handling. If you can keep your foot off of the right pedal with this improved performance, this can also mean better fuel economy and less wear on parts such as brakes and suspension components.

If carbon fiber is so great, why not just make all cars out of it? The most obvious reason is that carbon fiber is expensive and more difficult to mass produce than sheet metal or plastic. Replacing all of the sheet metal on a vehicle the size of, say, a Toyota Yaris with carbon fiber would probably double the price of the car.

Secondly, while carbon fiber as strong as metal, it's usually only strong when stretched or bent progressively. When compressed or exposed to the shock of sudden impact, carbon fiber becomes brittle and can splinter unpredictably. A dent knocked into a metal or plastic bumper could probably be hammered out, but a carbon fiber bumper would most likely need to be replaced, which can be pricey.

Default Scion xD by 0-60 Magazine and Sparco Rally for SEMA

Quote:
The car enthusiasts over at 0 - 60 magazine are at SEMA again with a new Scion xD-based rally-inspired car. It is in stark contrast to the Lexus IS F they presented at the 2008 show. The publication partnered with Sparco to create this off-road concept.

It features some of the following equipment from Sparco: mud flaps, Pro-ADV race seats, a communications unit, a Safari Race steering wheel, race pedals and a 6-point harness.

Other bits include an FIA-spec rally cage, front aluminium skid plate, a universal light pod, front bumper pod mounts, Greddy gauges and exhaust system, a carbon bonnet, B&G Custom RS2 coilovers and springs and Volk TE-37 15 x 6.5 wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich rally tyres.

Default That Doesn’t Sound Like A Boxer

Quote:
Adam Zillin was at the Tokyo Motor show and mentioned briefly that the FT-86, when started and revved, sounded nothing like a flat-four engine. Derek from Pacificcoastjdm.com thought he’d head over to the TMS and investigate a little further and has sent us a short video of what he heard For a little background on what brought this up, see the comments section here.

At the Toyota stand at the Tokyo Motor Show they’ve installed speakers somewhere underneath the rear or in the exhausts of the FT-86 and were playing sounds recorded while the 086A test car was circling the Nurburgring. It certainly doesn’t sound like a boxer engine so it begs the question: if the sounds coming from the FT-86 definitely aren’t a boxer four, why would Toyota use such an audio track for the display and not a real EJ20 sound clip?

It’s probably a case of ”don’t read between the lines too much”, but we’ve seen a few times now that Toyota is very keen on hearing what future FT-86 buyers think of their concept and all this could be a stunt to gauge reaction. Who knows, if enough noise is made maybe we could see an in-line four cylinder engine find its way into the FT-86? If it did it’d certainly patch up the broken link between the AE86 and its successor.

We at 7Tune are all hoping that this is Toyota’s way of hinting that there could be a very big difference under the hood between the Toyota and Subaru versions of the FT-86

Can't say I'm too excited about anything mentioned so far with the exception of the SHO... It seems to have some potential in the mock up illustration at least.

The FT-86 sound clip was straight out of Gran Tursimo. What was the point of that.

That Scion looks like it would dig in and roll over once it tried to slide around a corner.
