Default STI HID's in a wrx???

I was looking to get OEM STI HID's for my 04 wrx but after looking around the bulbs look way different and even the back of the STI headlights look different. Is there a way to make them work using my wrx headlight housing??

Best bet is to just use the OEM STi housing. You'll blind people using the WRX's. The reflectors weren't designed for HIDs.

I asked about a retrofit and my service guy told me the wiring would be a snap, but the 08s HIDs were $700+ per side :-(

A pair of HID projectors(low beam only) on ebay=$80-$120 dollars.
A pair of ballasts $110.
A pair of D2S HID "bulbs" $45-$90 dollars.
Wiring harness-about $30 dollars.
Thats $350 dollars for all the parts needed. You may have a heatgun or oven needed to bake the lights apart and get at the insides to replace the halogen projector with the HID projector and put them back together. If all you want is more light then simply modify a pair of H9 bulbs to fit into your H11 low beam projectors. The H9s are only 10 watts more than the H11s but put out a lot more light and won't melt anything and cheaper than even a cheap PNP HID kit.

Lightwerkz does sell a harness. I just got it in the mail. It's mostly plug and play and very straight forward.
