Default Dyno tune- 2002 Bugeye - stock EJ205 - EVOIII 16G - 93 octane - EPIC Tuned

Just got back from my tune at EPIC Motorsports in Fayetteville, NC. This is the second tune I've had Robbie do. Let me just say that, I don't know a single person tuned by him that isn't thrilled to death. I can't thank him enough for fixing the tune and making this car an absolute beast. I didn't really beat on it until I got near home and off the highway. It was raining a today and 1st gear broke traction while taking a slight turn. This thing is scary. Anyways, here are the graphs, from the base tune to the final tune, and the numbers:

Event: Dyno Pull
Location: EPIC Motorsports in Fayetteville, NC
Ambient Temp: 60's
Elevation: 250ft above sea level
Weather: Cloudy/Rainy
Tires: Dunlop Z-1 Star Specs 225/45/17

Car: 2002 WRX
Tuner: Robbie at EPIC Motorsports
Dyno Info: Mustang
Peak HP at RPM: 282 @ 6423
Peak Torque at RPM: 254 @ 6150 (Note the graph)
Baseline hp/tq for a stock on same dyno: ~240 for a 2.5 STi
Target Boost: 21 PSI
Target AFR: 11.0
Fuel: 93 Octane

Engine/Power Modifications:
FP EVO III 16G
DW 650 CC Injectors
SPT Intake
Walboro 255
'08 STi Oil Pump
APS Inlet
Hyperflow TMIC
Perrin EBC
Turbo-XS DP (Catless)
Apexi N-1 Catback (Catless)

Driveline Modifications:
ACT Lightweight Stree Flywheel and Clutch

Suspension Modifications:
Tein S-Tech Springs

Final Tune is solid lines (Obviously):

Numbers:

My Previous TD04 Plot and Numbers:

It put down 282whp and 253wtq on a Mustang dyno at ~21 PSI. It feels much more violent than 282/253. It is an absolute freight train. On an overall conservative tune, Robbie said he can run it more aggressive, but it's perfectly fine for me. Boost comes early and thrashes you into your seat. I couldn't be happier. Maybe in a few months we'll mess with it more and see what this EVO III is capable of.

Thanks again Robbie for the great tune.

And Audio for helping me decide on this beast of a turbo.

To be honest they seemed low to me. After mashing the go pedal. I can't complain

This is perfect for daily driving, and it's good to be back to having to tighten my neck when I drive. It will stay this way for quite some time, next is gauges to monitor things a little better, suspension, brakes, and some more alpine goodness. Will have to wait till around January though.

Hey, anytime you're in the area I'd be more than happy to oblidge. Anyways, if you are coming up for the DSM/STi shootout at Epic in Fayetteville on the 14th and 15th of November I will more than likely be there. Send me a PM if you are interested.

Also check out the Vendor Classified in the Southeast for the details on the Shootout

I'd say lowish numbers are from dropping boost at the upper rpm range, and the fact that it's a mustang dyno. I'm guessing the lowish torque could also be because you requested a "conservative" tune? Usually peak torque with this setup is lower than 5100 rpm. Robbie probably kept the timing low to keep from having that wall of torque to help conserve the trannie.

Great numbers, I love the Evo3.

I have an 16g Evo 3 8cm on my 2.5 hybrid swap and its a beast for driving around town....I certainly know what your talking about with the power thrust

Agreed, but if you look, he reaches ALMOST peak torque about 1000 RPMs sooner, right where I would expect it.

For example, my car sees 21.5 psi and ALMOST peak torque around 2700, but doesn't TECHNICALLY see full boost and torque (22.5 psi) until 3600.

Yea, there is a tiny bump in the graph, that was the last pull we did. We didn't do pulls to get a good looking graph, that's just the way it turned out.

I just picked the Evo 3 16g Turbo up and plan on using it on my DD. Im good to hear alot of people like it and are doing well with it. OP how are you injectors handling the power, I picked up some 750's to be on the safe side.
