Default Do you guys know any good shop to fix my bumper scratches?

well..... so tired tonite and when I was parking, having only limited garrage space on our new house, I scratched the rear bumper while I was backing in. Damn this tenant for putting two rack space inside a tight 2 car space garrage But hey..... I screwed up and I have to pay the consequences.

Basically the side rear bumper is scratched (deep ones) I can see the dark surface and scrape type of scratches. I tried waxing it wouldnt smoothen the scratches they are too deep. So do you know any paint shop that would fix this for a reasonable price? my car is silver so it shouldnt be that hard.
Thanks in advance

p.s - I live in long beach and I dont mind driving 15/20 miles away from my new place.

my RS and freeways don't get along very well. I have 2 nice marks on my front bumper from hitting flying objects kicked up by cars in front of me

Thumbs up

Hmm.. maybe the folks @ ISR in (correction) FULLERTON can help you two out... I've been there once and they do good subie work, but I'm unsure about body work. It's worth a try. Maybe they can relay you to a good shop. I guess ask for ED.

Default scratch fixer...

call Chuck Freeman of Bumpers Plus: 949-842-1255

he just painted my STi hoodscoop and matched my paint (wrb) perfect. he also fixed a scratch i had on my rear fender that some kid on a razor decided to install on my car. the scratch went down to the sheet metal but did not score the metal. Chuck fixed the area properly, applied a clear coat and buffed everything out. can't even tell the kid's razor did anything. Chuck's a mobile guy and is often at Shelly BMW in Buena Park doing repairs for them on new and used cars. Btw, he uses PPG products (good stuff). he can fill plastic parts (bumpers) and make them look virgin. i've seen his work and it's amazing. he's more artist than repair guy.

Thumbs up They did a good job on duckboy's car

I can attest to the work done on duckboy's car. I saw the before and after on his rear left fender and the work done was flawless . I can't wait to see his new hoodscoop. I think that could be my next mod.

Default ISR?

Hey ejicon, I thought ISR moved to a new location inland in Fullerton. That's a little far.

Default duuuuudde...

blkwgnboba,

s'up brah!!! it's about time you got an account!!! yeah so now we can go cruz waiks and check out all da shahleenes! (inside HI joke).

yeah, Chuck's the man. i'm waiting till the clearcoat completely cures so it's nice and hard before i go and buff it out. it's already very glossy but still could use a buffing. then i'll drop it on the car.

i believe ISR is now in fullerton. they merged w/ Renick Subaru. i've mail ordered my rear cusco sway from them and no problems. good shop.

aloha

duckboy

btw, get back to work

Duckboy: Do you mind if you tell me how much the whole thing costs? Thanks.

Unhappy

blkwgnboba... yeah, I just realized that when I took a look at there site? Geez, from HTB to Fullerton, that's way upland. My girlfriend use to live out there and it was a pain in the @$$. But geez, I so much loved driving my Legacy Turbo 85mph on the 15. Awh, those were the days.
