Default GF got DJ Hero Last night

She's playing it now. Friggen awesome music, she's having fun with it (and keeping me from Forza 3). Went from Vanilla Ice Vs Mc Hammer to some DJ Shadow vs ? cut.

So far she loves it. I tried a demo somewhere the other day, and it was a lot easier for me than guitar hero.

They may have hooked me by using Around The World in the commercial. What is the gameplay like?

Played with this @ BB the other day.

I've hated every other *.Hero game...but their one I might have to get. It's fun. Real fun. And the music is great...especially for those of us with more than 10 years under out belts.

Have you tried the drums in any *.Hero or *.Band game? I'll admit, the guitar in those games is rather boring. The drums on the other hand are a lot of fun.

Tried it.

Certainly better than the guitars or vocals...but it still didn't make me go "giggity".

Why not just learn how to DJ for real?

how do you actually play dj hero? push a button and scratch, or what? I have to say, so far the appeal isn't there for me.

Good point. The DJ Hero game is thousands of dollars. A real DJ setup is only, what? $49.99? So it would be a good idea just to learn to DJ for realz.

I watched the video with DJ Jazzy Jeff where he talked about how it's pretty realistic, and if you're good at DJ Hero, you should look into DJing in the real world.

Scratch on a fake turntable, use a fake fader/track/whatever that slide button is called, and something else...I forget now.

But it was great.

Can you swap between records at your own leisure, or do you have to follow a "script" a la guitar hero? Perhaps with enough downloadable content, you could actually DJ a party with this thing

But virtually mixing and scratching does make you go "giggity"? Oooookay. Whatever flips your pickle I suppose.

<-Always wanted to be a dj.
<-Never wanted to do anything else "musically" related.

I'll admit, I was getting sick of the industry milking the music-related games...but this one interests me. I doubt I'll buy it, but hopefully one of my friends will.

I'm simply applying the same argument against Guitar Hero for this game. Plus if you learn how to DJ for realz good enuff u can make real $$$$ to pay for ur shiznitz!

Also, quite a few stars LOVE this game.

I kinda want to try it out, but I don't have the money to burn on it right now.

I really like the mashup they did of Daft Punk and Queen. I'm tempted, bit it is kinda spendy.

Can you upload good music, or are you stuck with the type of stuff that they play at NBA games?
