Default Dyno Tune: IAG makes 409whp on 2.5L + Prototype Blouch DOM 3.0 XT-R

This has been in the works for some time now and we are happy to bring you the results of our recent testing.

Event: Dyno Testing
Location: IAG Performance in Westminster, MD
Ambient Temp:69F
Elevation: 700 ft
Weather: Overcast
Car: 2005 STI
Tuner: Jorge from P&L (RiftsWRX)
Dyno Info: Dynojet 424x
Peak HP at RPM: 409@6400 (uncorrected)
Peak Torque at RPM: 408@4400@4400 (uncorrected)
Baseline hp/tq for a stock on same dyno: Stock STI's dyno 225-230whp
Target Boost: 22.5psi
Target AFR: 11.7 on pump/12.4 on @16
Fuel: 93 octane/Q16

Engine/Power Modifications:

DOM 3.0 XT-R (10cm2)
APS DR725 FMIC
Catless TBE
PE 850cc
Perrin Big MAF Intake
Perrin 2.4" Inlet

Driveline Modifications:
OEM Clutch (Slipped on Race Gas, but we will talk about that later)

RF010 is on 93 Octane

Above Runs are comparing the Standard DOM 3.0R to the New DOM 3.0 XT-R with Billet Compressor Wheel and 10cm2 Turbine Housing. Both runs are on 93 octane and both cars have similar mods. Note that the with the new lightweight Compressor Wheel the XT-R spools faster!

Above Run is on VP Q16. You will note that we shut to car down early because the clutch let loose. The peak HP numbers are not quite accurate. The car however, was on point to make about 465whp.

The above runs are to compare the DOM 3.0R to the New DOM 3.0 XT-R both on Race Gas. Again, you will note the slipping clutch.

Stock fuel pump? TGV's intact?

Any comment on how this turbo would do on a stock or larger aftermarket top mount intercooler?

Right about the Walbro. TGV's are stock though. Stock motor, stock clutch, stock TGV's.

Finally!!! Good to see some more results. I've been very curious about this turbo, and the other "teaser" thread has lost my interest. Wow it appears to really add a good bit of area under the curve vs. the standard dom 3. Were the boost settings the same on both cars as well?

Looks like a ton of fun

Thanks for taking the time to post up the results!!!!!!!

Was the Dom3 your comparing to using the old 8cm, or the new 10cm turbine housing?

We will be testing in the next few days actually. We will test with a Spearco TMIC.

DOM3.0R was at 22.5 psi and DOM3.0 XT-R actually starts out at 24 psi and settles in at 22.5. Probably the most significant thing is that the XT-R actually spools much earlier because of the Billet Wheel.

Interested in how much it suffers in overall power/torque versus how much it gains in responsiveness on the low end.

Also would be interested in the driving impressions in the lift-off then reapplication of power that FMIC's seem to struggle with.

great numbers

any chance you can compare this turbo to the atp equivalent?

i'm sure many of us are on the fence between these 2 companies as both have taken stock location turbos to a new level.

Finally some actual results on these turbos, good to see. I'm interested to see what the Dom 4 XT-R puts out.

Very nice. If I knew you guys were doing this car Saturday night and not Sunday afternoon I would have stopped by.

Thanks again. The car feels amazing and that 321whp is crazy fun. I'll see you guys soon for some new wheels.

You gonna give it another try with a stronger clutch? I'd like to stop by and see it.

so stock TGV's + Internal Wastegate + (stock headers?) and still 409hp!?

i think there is some serious potential here.

I think the blouch would outperform because of the billet wheel. I think I read that the XT-R is 55lb/min rather than 52 like the normal dom3. Is this true?
