Thumbs up Euro-Accord Touring coming over as Acura TSX Sport Wagon

Wonder if SH-AWD will be available? If so, this could well be the solution to all those who mourn the loss of the Legacy wagon. It's coming next fall.

SH-AWD isn't available in the TSX we have now, I doubt it would be available on the wagon

Acura is moving towards making all their cars to at least have SH-AWD available as an option. They've publicly stated that (and no, I don't have a link). I bet we see it next year on this car, and maybe other TSXs as well.

Accord Tourer + K23T + SH-AWD = one great wagon...

And perhaps the CTS sport wagon also helped in the decision.

Surely they've learned and will do a minor revision on the hideous grill. I was recently told by an Acura dealer GM that his dealer offers the black out treatment on the blade/ buck tooth for free. I asked what they were doing to fix the back of the TL and he just laughed. He jokingly said he always raises the trunk to show off the humongous space when people start to walk around the back.

That's a nice looking wagon. Maybe the wagon will regain its popularity here in the States.

Thats good news, I'd like to see this in the states as well. Does this mean the Crosstour will *crosses fingers* get axed?

Honda originally had no plans to bring over a TSX wagon. However, the new Accord (TSX) has not caught on in Europe or Japan and the plant is running far below capability. It's rumored that Acura will kill off the RDX and its expensive turbo engine around 2011 to make way for the TSX wagon.

I see this ending up the same way as the IS300 wagon, not selling much due to a high price, limited capability and the fact that most people who use wagons for practical reasons don't want to spend that much money/won't risk damaging such an expensive vehicle. If the sedan is already $29k, then how much will the wagon cost? $31k?

But just like the IS300 wagon, the Accord Tourer (TSX wagon) is a very interesting vehicle that will most likely flop due to poor targeting and pricing. It would have been killer had the Crosstour been aborted and the Accord Tourer sold as part of the US Honda lineup at Accord prices.

Hopefully this knocks Subaru to their senses to bring back the Legacy wagon.

No. They're sold in different dealers.

I agree. I think its price is really going to hurt this vehicle, especially if SH-AWD is available as an option. At that price, you're competing with proven luxury wagons such as Audi and BMW.

I like wagons. I sort of like the TSX sedan. But I'm not feeling this TSX wagon...
