Default Be Careful On Rt 21!

hey what's up guys. it's been a while since I've been on here, but I see a couple of subies on rt 21 and I figured I'd look out for them as well. I don't know if people know, but tuesdays and thursdays ("TnT") are hot on rt 21 around the clifton/passaic area. I would know, because I just got pulled over for the first time this morning on my way to work. what makes me mad was that it was right before my exit, and what pisses me off even more is that I have a Passaic County Sheriff's PBA card that I didn't think to give to the SHERIFF at the time. yeaaa whatta bitch. anyway, enough with the rambling, just be careful around there esp on tuesdays and thursdays. oh and I'm the CGM hawkeye if any of you see me. later - boogz

All in all, Route 21 is pretty lawless because there's no shoulder for almost the whole stretch. I bet $5 the cop that pulled you over was staked out by the exit/entry point at the Union Ave. bridge / Rutherford / Passaic Park exit.

Kids from my HS (Rutherford) used to race up there all the time, and streetrace biker gangs scream down 21 all the damn time. Sometimes I'll be doing 70-75 when a pack of biker boyz pull up next to you, glance over, and wheelie away up & beyond 100mph.

yea...got a ticket for going 74. Cole is somewhat right...usually there's a cop with a radar on top of the bridge that I ALWAYS look for whenever I get to that curve going towards that bridge. unfortunately I was so concentrated on looking to see if he was there that I didn't notice the cop on the shoulder until I started to pass him, and I immediately knew I was gettin pulled over. went under the bridge and pulled over RIGHT BEFORE my exit 11a. I work at the honda dealership in passaic. rs22b, don't know if you remember me, but I came to one of the rutt's hutt meets and went to your shop afterwards when you had the swap raffle

Speaking of Rt.21..holy crap..the roads!! they're just horrible. i wish someone would pave the damn thing for once. i see a lane closed for construction every now and then and the next day i go by it seems nothing was accomplished.

My father was telling me that when he was in high school and college that 21 used to be the unofficial drag strip for the area. That was back in the 70's (when the road was new) the road used to be so empty that they could actually stop in the middle of the highway and drag for a 1/4 mile.
