I think thats what he said. I never saw any knock except a small -2 correction on a shift but that only happened once and it was outside of the danger zone.

The 20g is an easy to live with turbo it seems. The MAF sensor doesn't have much left so he needs a bigger MAF tube for much more up high. What was nice is the dyno agreed with the measured g/s on the MAF. Typically with these cars the measured air in g/s seems to = WHP.

I have no idea what I was running on mine. the tuning wasn't done but I'm sure it was pretty high. my MAF was able to handle a lot and my very last runs in the car was on 22 psi. Tuner planned to turn that up to about 26 psi by the time he was done

Yeah maybe you had a larger MAF then. Didn't you use the Perrin?

The max measurable g/s on a stock 04 STI is 348.45 g/s. On an 08 STI its 383.89 so you could in theory make near 400WHP peak. You can over shoot a MAF sensor but essentially you just run it real rich towards redline since you have no resolution anymore. You can do some hacks/tricks in the ECU but I personally won't do that for someone.

26PSI on stock internals won't last long, good thing you would have been on a built motor. I run 24psi from time to time on my 05 STI, it seems to take it but I'm about to swap out the motor so I don't care if she blows.

This guy I posted the dyno for can do 21psi and still stay on the safe side as long as we keep the fuel a little rich and the timing down. He is happy with what he has so I'm glad about that.

no, AMR intake and AMR TMIC. both the largest on the market. plus yes, built motor could handle the 26 psi.

and I ran 21-22 psi on my LGT and also on my stg 2 STI.

*edit* only with Torco, not on our 90 crap pump!

I think he only uses 1/3-1/2 can of torco per tank. :-)

Well there you have it. I have a few more Dynos to post up and I am going to try and do before and afters where I can. A lot of this work though is fresh builds or upgrades so its impossible to do a before run. Best comparison would be to stock.
