Default Is Ken Block sponsored by Cosworth or Crawford Performance?

Is you go to the Cosworth website, you will find a Ken Block related press release and give the impression that he is sponsored by Cosworth, even reference is made to the Gymkhana car.

http://www.cosworth.com/Default.aspx?id=1100752

On the other hand, is you visit the Crawford website seems like they are sponsoring Ken Block.

http://crawfordperformance.com/

Who is providing Subaru engines to Ken Block?

DC Shoes. He probably wrote the car off on his taxes as an "work car".

Definatly not DC shoes. Ken Block is co founder of DC Shoes. You cant just "write off" anything you want. If you could why would he. He has enough money not to worry about it.

Crawford Performance is who builds Kens Gymkhana car

EDIT: I believe cosworth does the engine work for his rally car.

To answer your question best you have to look at it in two regards. Crawford is the one building the engines but they mainly use Cosworth parts. I believe Crawford uses Cosworth pistons, oil pumps, cams etc. So if you think about it, Cosworth is indirectly sponsoring Block because Crawford is providing the parts for free.

I wish I could get a penny every time someone posts about Ken Block, then I would be my own Cosworth sponsor and buy a Cosworth turn key motor and a 35r HTA to help it breath lol

So here is my guess.

Vermont sports cars preps the car, crawford builds the engines using cossie parts. It cannot be that simple!

It will be sad to see Block without his scoob, But that Ford is wicked. Personally I am tired of seeing Loeb in first place every time, hes a great driver but enough is enough...

This is where the leg humpers are going to be saddened when they see where KB stacks up against the top tiers and how far he has to go to be remotely competitive. Expect Atkinson to be much quicker in an identical car.

TBH, Block needs to get bitch slapped a bit on the world stage. The experience he'll gain will help him immensely in Rally America.

I had to comment...

True, you cannot write off anything you want, but you can certainly claim such a vehicle/video production costs as a form of advertisement/business cost. My main issue is with the last sentence I quoted because of the massive steaming pile of ignorance it contains. People don't get rich by throwing money away.

He actually isnt throwing money away. He is making money buy spending it, in a sense. Imagine all the kids who saw his gymkhana videos and then in turn they went out and bought DC products because of it.

In a way him spending that money was to make it, his movies were like giant elaborate DC clothing commercials.

And honestly I doubt he paid full price on all the stuff except for the car itself. Im sure the other companies were stoked to get such a huge advertisement that they practically gave him all the stuff

dude, some people are so rich that their cash flow is way too much to have to "care" about certain things. look at bill gates... in a sense it can be said that he can "throw" away his money and stay rich, as long as he doesn't throw away microsoft as well.

Who is providing Subaru engines to Ken Block?

Cosworth is doing shady business by insinuating that they have anything to do with the two Gymkhana cars Crawford Performance has built for Ken Block. At one point they even had a photo of the car we built along with the link to the Gymkhana video on their website… underhanded at best!

All I can say is buyer beware!

To answer your question, Crawford is supplying Subaru motors along with the complete car build to Ken Block for his Gymkhana cars.

Team Crawford

Huh I didn't Cosworth really made any of their own parts, I thought everything they had was re-badged 3rd party parts.
