Default ikea mud flaps

Hay all, I was thinking of doing the Ikea Dralla mud flaps. However when I went down to Ikea the only color they had was orange / green combo. Dose anyone know if they still make the black ones?

just be careful when you do find the black ones, make sure to buy two packs. because the black ones come with 2 blacks and 2 Translucent gray....it is hard to tell when you pick up the package though, and when i first did this, i only bought one pack, and got home, and was like wtf???

Just installed these today. I'll get some better pictures tomorrow after I charge my camera's battery. Installing these on a wagon was super easy, and I would be happy to answer any questions regarding the install.

if you love your paint i probably wouldn't recommend a drive-thru wash unless it was touchless. as for the RA URs they are pretty durable. with my BCs they were dragging everywhere and they still look perfect.

Not sure if I love how much the rears poke out, and if i bring them in, the top lip won't be visable.

Default Performance Creations - RallyFlapz!!

I wanted a set of blue rally style flaps for my 04 PSM Sti, and nothing from Rally Armor or Flapatax fit the bill, so after considering making my own, I settled on having a go with Performance Creations based in the UK. I couldnt find much info in this massive rolling thread on their Rallyflapz, so I decided I would post my experiences here, providing something current, relevant, and hopefully inspiring for others looking for an alternative to the more popular US based options.

http://www.performancecreations.co.u...range-48-c.asp

PCs Rallyflapz come in a couple different styles (classic/New Age) for the Impreza and just about any color you might want. They also seem to have a pretty big presence on Ebay. The installation was a snap, and the quality of the 3mm thick flexible PVC and Stainless Steel support brackets (bra) are very good. My only criticism is in the provided Hardware as I think with heavy snow, more robust attaching hardware is in order. (more on this later)

Ordering was a snap on PCs website, and they accept Paypal. I ran into a slight issue upon checkout where I was charged 9.99 GBP VAT, but a quick call to a friendly voice on the other end of the phone (Georgina) sorted out a rapid refund to my account. In all, cost including currier shipping (FedEx) to my door and currency exchange was a bit less than ordering a set of RallyArmor URs. PC keeps you updated though email during every step of the order processing, and it took approximately 1week from time of order to receipt at my door here on the East Coast pretty good in my book!

Ill close now with some photos and descriptions/comments. In all, I would definitely order from Performance Creations again and recommend them as an alternative to more popular brands available here domestically.

This is a picture of what I received:

Thought this contents description was amusing:

A pic here of the contents. I wasnt sure if I wanted the stickers included on the flaps, so I asked them to include them separately and they provide both WRX and STi decals:

Here is a pic of the front mounted and my only bit of criticism with the PC offering. I elected to mount them with u-nuts, screws, and big washers rather than the plastic fur-tree plugs they include in the kit. I also chose to use all three screw locations on the outside. The flap/metal reinforcement is only perforated for the upper two fixing locations:

Here is a pic of the rear mounted to the car. I chose to go ahead and use the plastic fur-tree plugs provided in the kit because when you position and drill the inner hole for the self taping screw, the metal reinforcement puts a bit of torque on those outer mounting locations and I felt it would take quite a bit to loosen the plugs under normal conditions. Time will tell, though, and if Im wrong, some screws, washers, and u-nuts will provide a quick remedy:

Now for the remaining shots. No further description required, IMHO. Im very happy.

Feel free to ask any questions.

- Allen.
